The perfect swing for a peaceful baby!
We bought this swing when our daughter was 6 weeks old. A vigorous kid already, she likes to be bounced and jostled around quite a bit, and we ordered the thing to help our aching arms and thighs. When we received the swing in the mail, we were so excited to set it up and see what her reaction would be.
Well, construction went just fine- the directions are clear and the whole thing comes together in about a half hour. However, when we put her in, it was pretty lame. The swing didn't go very high at all, and you'd think with six different speeds that it would fairly well satisfy the full range of need in babies. I decided to call Graco to see if anyone else had had this issue and if possibly our motor was defective. They were very polite and immediately sent us a new motor piece. Unfortunately, even with the new piece the swinging was about the same and our girl quickly grew bored with the low momentum.
So, back to the title, if you have a baby who is more 'easy listening' than '80's pop', this is the swing for you! If not, check out the side-to-side swings, as they seem to be a bit more vigorous in their motions. We replaced ours with a model of this sort and she's been a happy girl!

Much easier..
My one month old loves her swing/bouncer. The swing part reclines to where you want it and it has 6 speeds, along with a selection of classical music (My daughter surprisingly quiets when she hears the music). Then, when I leave the room I can just carry the bouncer with me without even disturbing the baby, or having yet another baby item to take up room. I only don't like the tray that is not detatchable, it gets in the way a lot and is unnecessary for such a little baby. It's also a little confusing to put together-easy once you figure it out, but the directions are based mainly on drawings, which don't help at all! Those two things are why I gave it 4 stars, not five. Otherwise, it iss a great purchase!

It's OK.
My baby loves his swing and the detatchable bouncer seat (which I admit is really convenient). But the batteries don't last long at all and the buttons that control power and speed, etc. have to be pushed several times before they work. Overall, it's been more of a frustration than anything.

The combination of perfection and functionality!
Man this is the perfect baby product and is so nice at how its versitle and easy to use. Hats of to the designers on this one!!!!!

Been a life saver
We've been very happy with this swing. It has 6 speeds and in the beginning we used the fastest speed the most. Our twins are now 2 months old and can swing and sleep at a slower speed. It does use batteries but no more than I expected. It has good sound selections. We use the white noise the most. I'm buying a second of these swings as both twins like to sleep in the swing. I like that the bouncy seat can be removed and taken to another room. It also reclines easily. All in all, its been a life saver for us.

Poor construction
We purchased this swing based on some recommendations [...]. When it arrived, I was stunned by the poor quality of the item. The metal bars for the frame have pre-drilled holes in them into which you screw machine screws for the feet. Two of these holes were drilled too large and the screws weren't able to bite. The bars at the top are curved, and onto each bar snaps a "mobile" for over the top of the baby. These bars were not curved equally, so the mobile wouldn't snap on snugly and popped off every time the swing was turned on. The instruction booklet was also poorly written, but thankfully the assembly was fairly straightforward. I would recommend shopping around, and if you're set on this swing, check it out in person if possible. I was very disappointed so we returned it. Good luck!
