User Submitted Graco Ultra Clear Dual Parent Monitor Reviews September 5, 2008 Love this monitor! One of my favorite baby buys. Sound is crystal clear with no static in the background. Volume can be turned very loud or very soft. If you are vacuuming or doing something where you will not be able to hear, there are a series of red lights that light up more the louder the baby cries. We are electronics freaks with cell phones, TVs, stereos, and all sorts of gadgets. They don't seem to interfere with the monitor at all. 5 stars for sure!
June 24, 2008 Baby monitor This baby monitor works good and is easy to hear through. My only complaint is that it tends to have a lot of static at times with a bit of a hum. Otherwise for the price it is a good deal.
April 6, 2008 Works well I have had this monitor for over two years. It has served us well. It is clear and reliable. It is loud on the lowest setting, that took some time getting used to. And we do not use it with the batteries in it, because the batteries went dead so fast. My son recently got ahold of the base and messed up the wire connection site, so we are going to have to order another one. I am deciding on whether to get this again, or the digital version.
March 30, 2008 If people understood monitors there would be a lot LESS of them on the market BABY MONITORS ARE SUBJECTIVE. That is, you have to find the one that works in your environment and realize that there is far too many items that cause interference to properly review a monitor for someone else. We have had this monitor for 2 children, and it has worked flawlessly FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT.
I am somewhat of a geek and bought this really cool looking 5.8Ghz, visual feedback monitor for our second child. The wife sent me back to store to return after 1 hour. She is usually right anyway.
This monitor works great and has no frills (LAME), but the point is to hear your baby crying and not program your TIVO. Hope this review helps...and remember - STOP READING THESE REVIEWS GO TRY A MONITOR FOR YOURSELF.
January 15, 2008 I couldn't hear my baby even when she was screaming!!! Our other monitor - by The First Years always had so much static that we needed a new one. I bought this one hoping for no static. Well, I didn't get any static - but I also could not hear my baby even when the monitor was right next to her and she was screaming. Others have complained that it was too loud, but I returned this one because even with the volume turned all the way up I could barely hear anything. Skip this one!
December 28, 2007 Best Baby Monitor This is a great Baby Monitor. We tried several baby monitors and this is the only one that didn't interfere with the phones. The problem is that there is too much range with cordless devices nowadays. No one needs a 5.8ghz monitor or cordless phone. You aren't trying to walk down the street a quarter mile. You are wanting to hear your baby in time of need inside your home. This is a basic yet very reliable baby monitor. Buy it and won't have to be returning monitor after monitor like we did initially.
December 17, 2007 Best monitor out there! This monitor is worth buying! I love mine!! No static, very clear and is worth the investment!
September 17, 2007 Highly recommend!!! We have used this Graco Ultra clear Baby monitor for the past 4 years....with 3 children... and it still is working wonderfully. I recently thought that I would try and "upgrade" to a digital baby monitor and purchased the Mobi Digital, what a disappointment. It was not even half as clear as the Graco monitor. I am in the process of returning the Mobi Digital and will most likely stick with the Graco, since I have yet to find something that works as well and is as clear. We even keep the ceiling fan and a floor fan on in the baby room constantly and the reception on the Graco monitor is still crystal clear. Also, the monitor picks up baby even when it's placed 6+ feet away from the crib. Very happy Graco Ultra Clear Baby monitor customer here!
August 30, 2007 SAVE YOUR MONEY I bought this prior to the arrival of my first born, plugged it in...worked ok with a little bit of static but not enough to bother me. I used it maybe twice since she birth (she ended up sleeping in our room). But, now that we have our second on the way, we've had to transition our child to her own room. I figured I would have a perfectly new monitor I could use.... Turn it on: STATIC, STATIC, STATIC, STATIC, AND MORE STATIC. No matter where, what, how...STATIC AND MORE STATIC. Buyer Beware.
July 24, 2007 Great Monitor This monitor is terrific! It's simple but it does the job. I've had this monitor for 4 years and it's worked without fail. I'm getting ready to buy another one for my second child, as the first 2 (not Graco monitors) have broken in less than 1 year. I highly recommend this monitor.
