Didn't Trust It!
I brought this carrier but not from Amazon. I put my baby at the time who was 1 month old into it and as a reviewer previously stated the baby's face is covered and I was afraid she would have difficulty breathing. I didnt like how she just seemed to be closed up in it no matter how much I tried to adjust her in it. She would be very hot too. I found myself constantly checking to make sure she was breathing while I would move around the house. I returned it to the store. I have the 6 in 1 carrier and I am about to take that back too... I guess Infantino is not for us.

Looks Better Than it Works.
We have a new baby boy. Prior to his birth, we talked about accessories and decided that we really liked the "Infantino Sling." It looked fashionable and a neat way to tote the baby around. We put it on our baby shower wish list. Bingo! Well, what looks like a neat idea before birth doesn't always work out after birth.

I haven't used the sling. My wife is the one who carries the baby around under most circumstances. She's used the sling on a number of occasions and doesn't care for it. For one thing, she finds the weight (11 pounds) uncomfortable when carried by a strap across her shoulders. She finds the need to carry part of the weight by putting one of her arms beneath the sling. But doesn't that negate one of the merits (hands free) of the sling? Of course. We like to go hiking with the baby, and using the sling as a carrier would be out of the question. Worse yet, the baby doesn't seem comfortable in the sling. With him in, it sags way down and bends him into a pronounced U. He doesn't care for the configuration and is vocal about it. After a few tries, we've just given up on the sling. Too bad. It looks real nice and seems like a great way to transport junior, but it just doesn't work well.

Great for a Premature Baby
Before buying the Infantino Sling, I read through the reviews. And I was a bit worried. So the day after my purchase, I tested the sling with the baby on the hospital monitor. And its true that the baby's blood oxygen dropped while in the sling...by three percent. Saturation went from 100% down to 97%. I asked the nurse and she said that it is only a concern if saturation drops down to the 80s.

Little Lance was content in the sling, with his pulse and breathing dropping down to his "at rest" levels. He didn't make any fuss. And he was happy to be carried around the nursery for the next hour. So the Infantino sling got the approval of the nurse. (And this is for a premature baby that suffered from "bradies", times when he would "forget" to breath.)

The sling does become uncomfortable to wear, putting too much weight on one shoulder, but when that happens I just "take a break" and sit down with the sling in my lap. But I like how quickly I can get the baby secured in the sling, especially when he's fussing to be held.

My wife had purchased a Baby Bjorn Active carrier the month before she gave birth and I look forward to the time when the baby is big enough and strong enough to safely fit in it. But in the mean time, I think that the Infantino has been worth its much lower price.

Think I'll return it
It sounds great - breathable mesh, no buckles that are awkward to fasten or which dig into you or the baby - but the reality was somewhat different. Sure, the baby slept in it... all scrunched up. And it did give me both my hands free. Unfortunately it also put so my weight on my shoulder that it was uncomfortable for more than half an hour.

SIDs RISK
This sling is dangerous! My baby balled up at the bottom and was chin to chest which is a huge risk for SIDs.

I recommend the custom fitted pouch style slings from www.slingmommy.com.
You can pick your fabric, they're reversible, and they are made to fit your body.

Horrible
I returned it the day after I bought it. I felt like my 1 month old was going to suffocate, the strap to hold him in was a joke, it hurt my neck badly, he screamed the 1 time I tried to put him in.. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone!

A lawsuit waiting to happen
I would avoid this carrier at all costs. First, there are SO many better options out there, many of them available on Amazon. [...] has detailed reviews for all kinds of carriers (ring slings, pouches, structured carriers like the Ergo) that are both easier to use and more comfortable that this one. I carried my son in a carrier from day 1, and we found so many great, comfortable options (Moby, Hotsling, Maya Wrap, Ergo, Beco).

Second and more importantly, though, this carrier is just plain unsafe. It puts a newborn baby in the VERY dangerous position of having his/her chin to her chest and risks cutting off air supply. AND then the design is to have this thick fabric over the baby's face. Both of these make this carrier unsafe beyond belief. Please, please look elsewhere for a good carrier for your baby. This one is just a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Baby likes the sling
Got this sling as a gift and is the only one I've ever used so have no other comparison...I like the sling because it seems easy to use and I don't need help getting it on. I think the key to being able to use this is to adjust the strap to the proper length. If you don't then your shoulders/back gets tired really easy. Once I got the proper length, I could use the sling for several hours before I got tired. My baby has loved this sling from day one.

Cons: strap can be difficult to adjust, when putting sling on, baby can seem like he's not supported as well. To compensate, I just support the baby with one hand and then put the sling over my shoulder with the other hand. Wish that the part of the sling where the baby's head is was more padded. (I'm always paranoid I'll not pay attention and accidentally bump something...so I usually put my hand where his head is, just in case.)

Don't waste your money!
I purchased this for my newborn two years ago, and he hated it. I think it must be the sling because he loves ring slings, pouch slings, mei tais, wraps, and more structured carriers, in the cradle positions, upright positions, everything-- in fact I am still wearing him and he is a toddler!

Infantino is fine for shopping cart covers and rattles but after reading safety concerns regarding the Infantino slingrider (not just the recalled version, but the inappropriate position it puts the baby in), I am sorry that I gave it away, I wish I had just thrown it out :(

Not recommended
I bought this carrier at a baby store and tried it out with my then 2 month old. The inside of the carrier is huge!!! He just rolled around in it and even at the shortest length of the strap (I'm 5'4) the baby was still hanging down by my waist. As I put it on with the baby in it and stood up, the whole thing just collapsed above him, completely preventing any air flow in and out of the carrier. The worst feature I thought was the fact that the whole thing is made from very stretchy material so as you walk, the whole carrier stretches up and down, bouncing wildly with every step. It didn't give me the feeling that he was securely attached to me. I returned it the same day.
