User Submitted iPlay Sing Along CD Player Reviews January 4, 2009 Stopped Working within a week I had really high hopes for this CD player. We got it as a birthday present for our 2 year old son. Within a week, it just does not play CDs any longer. It spins the CD and eventually gives an error message. At first I thought perhaps my kids had scratched the CD and it wouldn't work. So I opened up a brand new CD and the same thing happened. I need to figure out how to return this item. My kids really enjoyed the microphone aspect of the player, but it's a little too expensive to keep around just for the microphones.
December 29, 2008 Child friendly cd player This was purchased for a little guy who is 22 months old- not quite 2 years old yet. He can carry it around the house, and loves to hear his favorite Elmo song. He does not operate ithimself yet, but it has been easy or the rest of the family, since he only likes 1 song, and wants it repeated over and over and over....
December 29, 2008 Overall a winner I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. While it is rather on the heavy side, she loves it. One drawback is that the speakers is on the back of it, so if she lays it down, it's sound is muffled. The other thing is that the power button is also the volume dial instead of a seperate button - so it often gets left in the on position which drains the batteries.
December 27, 2008 LITTLE DISAPPOINTED IN DURABILITY We got this for my 18 mth old and for the most part is seems to be very durable. The only downside is that the cd door doesn't lock into place, so my son keeps taking the cd out when it is playing. The mic's seem to be very durable. The whole system has been drug across my house by the mic's. Overall, both my 3 yr old and 18 mth old love it because they can both sing with the music.
November 24, 2008 Total Disappointment Shortly after the 30-day return period the CD player just quit working. It was never handled roughly. In fact, it was never even handled by a child. My mom bought it for my use in my daughter's nursery. Now I let her play with the microphone part (which is still working), but I am sure I could find a much cheaper toy microphone.
September 29, 2008 Noah loves it My Grandson Noah loves his "moozic". Its tuff and he loves to sing along!
July 30, 2008 Music Makin'! I got this for my daughter for her 2nd birthday. She loves it. Within a couple of weeks she had figured out how to turn it on and start a c.d. She loves the 2 sing-a-long mics, and she likes how the stars on the side light up as she makes sounds in the mic.
The 2 things I don't like: 1, it is pretty heavy, and 2, I wish the c.d. player opened at the touch of a button, rather than having to manually open it. My daughter is so used to everything being electric on appliances, she doesn't know what to think to actually have to open the door to put the c.d. in her player. :)
Overall, it is very good quaility, and a c.d. hasn't skipped on us yet.
