The SwaddleMe provides the simplest way to swaddle with soft fabric wings that hug your baby close. A leg pouch pops down for quick diaper changes while leaving baby comfortably swaddled. As baby grows, wings adjust for a customized fit for your baby. Swaddling soothes infants by recreating the comforting snugness of the womb and new research shows that swaddling may help reduce the risk of SIDS by promoting better sleep when babies are on their backs. Pediatricians recommend swaddling to soothe and comfort newborns, helping them sleep better and also to help reduce colic. A percentage of each SwaddleMe sold is donated to First Candle / SIDS Alliance to help babies survive and thrive.

Exellent Product
Our newborn loves being wrapped up in it. Really simple concept and very snuggly. Almost makes you wish they made it in adult sizes. Keeps baby from scratching his face and after diaper changes when he's fussy it comes in handy to have something you can wrap him up in FAST as opposed to folding and tucking the standard receiving blankets. Thinking about ordering another one to rotate. Would totally recommend this product.

Can't live without it!
When my newborn outgrew a blanket swaddle, I turned to the Swaddle Me. It is the best! She sleeps longer and more soundly when swaddled in the Swaddle Me. It has saved my life! And my beauty sleep!

Wait a month or so. Better sleep for the whole family
As a NICU nurse, I frequently hear the research from the developmental specialists saying newborns (especially itty bitty NICU babies) need to be swaddled with their arms central, elbows bent, and their hands around their mouth area. So for the first month of my sons' lives I used regular swaddling blankets and the SwaddleMe more like a blanket sleeper, around their torsos and legs. After about a month (past due date, not birthdate, btw, if they were early), about when they tend to keep their arms down naturally on their own, I swaddled their arms down with the SwaddleMe. Instant transformation! It was like a little switch telling them, "OK, now it's alright for you to keep sleeping a little longer." They fell asleep a little sooner and more reliably and it added about an hour to each sleep stretch. It's also reassuring that incidence of SIDS is a little lower in swaddled versus unswaddled babies (not much though, don't freak out if your baby breaks out of the swaddle anyway). I had several different SwaddleMes with each baby, and I like this fleece one the best because it is just stretchy enough to hold the baby comfortably in pretty well, with a little movement but not enough to bust out, and the velcro on this one works better than the other ones I tried (though still not as well as I'd like). Biggest complaint was that the fleece doesn't wash marvelously- it pills up like most fleece things. I now lay it flat to dry!

A Total Must Have!!
We used this on my son every night and it really works well in making the baby feel warm, safe & secure. Bedtime was a whole lot easier and we even bought the Large size afterwards, as it doesn't take long before they out grow this one.

Well worth the money
My friend gave me one for me son because he wouldn't sleep unless he was wrapped tightly but we never could get him tight enough for his satisfaction. Once we got the swaddle me he started sleeping for longer periods of time. We would swaddle him and lay him on the couch since it was the only place he would sleep for the first 3 months and we wouldnt hear a peep out of him until he was hungry or till his older sister (older by 11 months) would bother him. Were having another baby and will definitely get this again since we gave the first one away. It is way better than the blankets and the little velcro makes it so that it will stay tight until you unwrap your little bundle of joy. It is also a million times easier to swaddle your baby with the swaddle me than with a receiving blanket.

This saved us from sleepless nights
My son has been swaddled using the kiddopotamus since birth. We just now stopped using it at 5.5 months. He was sleeping through the night at 2 months and taking great naps. We just wrap him in it and he would fall asleep in seconds. We ended up using both the small and large sizes. He didn't outgrow the weight but got too long for the smalls but the larges worked wonderful as well.

Crying in the Car: Never Again
My little one loved to be swaddled, but we couldn't swaddle her in the car. She would get so frustrated - frantically crying and turning red - in the car when she wanted to sleep. Now when she gets upset, we use the swaddle me blanket, and she falls right to sleep. She is still safe in her car seat, but also happy! It also works great with all the other S's of "Happiest Baby on the Block" too!

some like it, some don't!
I had one of these for my first son, he was a preemie. everyone said, "ohhhh he's a little preemie, he'll sleep better if he's bundled tight, swadddle this swaddle that..." he hated the swaddler. then fat and happy full term baby number two comes..... "oh, big baby's sleep better at night, you won't need to worry about him...." Horrible sleeper, up all night to eat, but LOVED the swaddler!!! Don't listen to what everyone says. the stereotypes are all wrong. Baby might hate this and scream to be free (like my first), or sleep great only when he's in it (like my second....). You won't know unless you try though.... ;)

LOVE IT!
I have two of these swaddlers and I LOVE THEM! My baby is 10 weeks now and we began using the swaddler at around 4 weeks when a friend recommended them. She has seriously been sleeping through the night (roughly 6-7 hours or so) since then. They are great and I highly recommend them to all of my friends having children.

A good tool for new parents
I think the Miracle Blanket is a better bang for the buck, but this is a nice easy solution for new parents. Watch/read "Happiest Baby on the Block" as well.
