Perfect...
This was the perfect choice for my daughters "princess room"... the icing on the cake. I found the bed to be quite simple to put together, and very sturdy. My daughter is quite long for her age, more like the height of a three year old, yet she still has room to grow in this bed. So it's perfect size for a toddler. FYI: The bed is more a lavander-pink than a light pink... but still pink. I highly recommend.

TOP princess bed for a SMALL CHILD
I bought this bed for my little girl when she was 3 she will use it till she is 4 then i will hand it down to a friend...this bed is everything it should be for the cost (yes you need to put it together but i am a mom and i did it alone just fine) it is low to the ground to help kids that are SMALL get in and out of bed with little or no issue and then mom and dad dont need to fear a child will take a long fall down out of bed. it takes a crib mattress and looks good in any room but please note this bed is for small kids 2-6 (i would say 2-5). I would buy it again it holds up to kids jumping,sleeping and me sitting on it for story time.

Great quality product perfect for your little princess
I love this bed and so does my daughter. It did take a little time to put together but overall it was easy and well worth is because it is undoubtably sturdy. It is made of solid wood and hand painted. I read a poor review on this and I have to disagree. Although the bed does differ slightly but only because there are not gold band around the middle of the poles.
This bed is very low to the floor, perfect for your little one's first big girl bed. I have purchased this bed and a train table from kidkraft and have been highly satisfied with their quality.

Perfect Princess Bed
My daughter got this bed for her 2nd birthday. It WAS a challenge to put together, and very daunting when removed from the box. Once it was put together though, it is breathtaking. We constantly get compliments on it as it is very unique. The color is not what one would call a True pink. Its a dusty color, closer to a mauve. But it is not that far off from what is in the pictures. My daughter has an upholstered throne and ottoman from Target that is the exact same color.
My only complaint is that there is nothing attaching the crowns to the top of the posters. They are plastic and you force them down on the top of the posters. I wish they had a screw or something to secure them. The first few weeks of sleeping in the bed resulted in daily searches around her room for the crowns. On the other hand, the hollow in the top of them is the perfect place to put our paci first thing in the morning for safe keeping.
We have had no trouble with the crib mattress not fitting. Ours fits snuggly. With our Disney Princess sheet set, we have a room fit for our little princess. We could not be happier, when she out grows it (which will not be for several years), we will put it up for her children.

Buy somewhere else
I was hust looking at toddler beds and i heard that they have false advertising. You can get somthing just like for a little more money from one step ahead and it looks so much better than this one.

Awesome bed !!!
I bought this bed for my daughter and I love it !! I have to disagree with the other reviews written and say it is well made and was easy to assemble. Also the color is a cross between a pink and a lavendar and matches well with the other KidKraft Princess accesories. We also purchased the princess bookcase and matching nightstand. It is low to the ground and is the perfect size for my 19 month old with plenty of room for her to grow as well.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
Don't waste your time ordering this bed because they don't carry it. So, for the most part it's false advertising. I ordered this bed months ago and when the delivery date was finally here, I received an e-mail saying they don't carry this bed anymore. Thanks alot! You guys are right on the ball.

Very cute bed for little princesses
This bed is just darling- my two and 1/2 year old loves it. It is fairly nice quality- quite heavy actually. It took me two hours to assemble but it may have gone quicker if I were less lame or if the manufacturer had sent full directions instead of just steps 4 thru 9. The bed is more lavender than pink but very cute. It is close to the ground so its safe for littler ones and the sides near the head and foot are raised so your princess doesn't roll out in the night. With regard to shipping, this bed is available all over the internet. I chose a great company- I received the bed in about a week whereas Amazon said it would ship in 3 to 6 weeks. Just make sure that they have the bed in stock before you purchase.

DO NOT BUY THIS BED!
I ordered this bed in April for my 2 1/2 year old. The shipping date was supposed to be 7/5/05. When the date came around, I checked my account to see if it had been shipped yet, but there was no record of the purchase of the bed. I called customer service, and no one had an answer for me. I received an e-mail a week later stating that I would not be getting a bed at all! It said that the company was not able to accomodate so many orders for this bed. If I would have known this I would not have waiting 3+ months for a toddler bed!

Money not well spent
I ordered the adorable little bed that I saw online or so I thought. First off it came in a medium sized box and when I opened it at least hundreds of bolts nuts and screws lucky mom I was, I got to put it together.
When I got it together I realized it wasn't the same bed as the one on the box. The one on the box had different poles. Then I realized it wasn't even the color that is introduced online or on the box. Pretty pink u think or not, it was a light purplish color. Best yet, it states that a crib mattress will fit, there is a gap between the headboard and the mattress.My crib mattress is to small for it. I really wish I could have seen this item in a store before I wasted over $200.00 on this bed that looks like it's made for my dog. To top it all off it wasn't in stock when I ordered it and I was given the wrong date when it would be delivered. I later recieved a letter saying sorry for the delay I wouldn't get my order for another month which meant that I wouldn't get my daughters bed for her birthday which I had been told I would. Although I was unhappy for many reasons, I kept the bed because my daughter loved the thought of having her own "Princess bed". Before you order this bed do know that I looked in many stores for this bed and couldn't find anyone who sold it, so when you choose to order from this site who will tell you we don't have it but another company does and they will also tell you they lost your order please don't let your kids know they are getting a pretty pink princess bed.Instead tell them they might get a Purplish Princess bed that looks comfy in the picture but the dog would rather lay in it.
