Help your baby sleep better than you ever imagined with this 100% cotton knit Miracle Blanket. The Miracle Blanket makes it easy to get the perfect swaddle every time, even in the dark! Your baby will sleep better, longer and will be less fussy since he/she will finally get the sleep they (and you) so desperately need. The fabric is a super soft cotton knit selected for several good reasons: It's breathable so that it can be used in warm climates while still being luxurious enough to keep your baby warm in cooler places. It has just enough stretch to absorb your baby's movements without coming undone but it's not so stretchy that it won't stay tight. Most importantly, it stands up to constant use and washing. Like any baby fabric, you should wash it in the cold cycle and dry it on the delicate cycle. Ages 0-4 mos. Beige, Solid Blue,Solid Pink,Blue with Green trim, Yellow with Green trim,Blue Camouflage or Pink Camuflage.
User Submitted Miracle Baby Swaddling Blanket - Beige Reviews December 17, 2008 Can't live (or sleep) without it This is a wonderful product. Our 12 week old son still loves this, and it's great because it is soft and doesn't use any scratchy velcro like another blanket we tried. I only wish we would have bought it sooner.
November 30, 2008 Truly a Miracle! Before this blanket, our baby was up every 2 hours at night, crying and miserable. The first night we tried the blanket, he slept for six hours. It was the most sleep I'd had in weeks! We felt mean, pinning his arms down in his little straight jacket, but it really soothes him and prevents him from startling himself awake. He calms down everytime we swaddle him with it. I also incorporate "The Happiest Baby on the Block" techniques and things are so much nicer at our house. We totally love this blanket!
October 20, 2008 Right up there with the parting of the Red Sea! At first I thought the name was sort of ridiculous but it turns out.. no! This blanket has made all of the difference for our little guy... he is a great sleeper as a result of using it. He is now 3 1/2 months old and we're starting to consider discontinuing it soon but we're certainly not in any rush... it's incredible - an essential baby item!
October 12, 2008 Almost perfect I bought this after reading all the reviews and giving up on the other swaddling blankets I have been using for my 2 1/2 month baby. I had tried the Halo brand and DO NOT like the velcro because it is too noisy and catches on things when the baby moves around or when transferring him from and to bed. I also tried regular blankets, but they don't stay. So, I decided to try the Miracle Blanket since my baby sleeps better swaddled.
It probably would have worked great when he was younger, but he is a pretty strong little fellow and already at this age he can wiggle out of the blanket, no matter what I do and there's nothing to hold it secure. Also, one night I went in to feed him and the long piece that was wrapped tightly around his arms (over the other two little flaps that hold each of his arms), below his head, had moved up over his face as he had wiggled around and since nothing holds the long piece down it didn't stay down when he pushed up with his arms. This scared me pretty good, so I haven't dared to use it since.
Thus, I gave it four stars because I think it would work great up to two months old, but after that if your baby is strong enough to wiggle around it isn't safe. I think it needs some place on the front where you could tie it or tuck it in so that the large flap will stay put even if the baby does end up getting his arms out.
October 6, 2008 Does exactly what it says... When I first bought this product it seemed a little overly complicated. Plus, my daughter seemed a bit small for it. As a result I ended up using the Kiddopotamus swaddle which is simpler but in my opinion much more cheaply constructed and easily outgrown.
I started going back to using this product now that my daughter has a few more weeks on her, and I absolutely love it. Now that I've gotten the hang of putting it on her, she goes to sleep so much faster and sleeps for longer periods at a time. It also helps in keeping her warm at night as her room can get really drafty. I would easily recommend this to anyone with a child who responds well to being swaddled. It's the best way to swaddle that I've seen.
September 4, 2008 A Must Have The Miracle Blanket is the only swaddler that my baby cannot wiggle out of. She is three months now, sleeps 7+ hours a night tightly bundled in her Miracle Blanket (for naps, too). When we try to put her down without it, she will not sleep nearly as well - if at all. We bought three and will continue to swaddle her until she is ready to sleep without it.
Pros- Baby cannot get out Cons- None
July 24, 2008 Swaddling Houdini My son is a big strong boy, weighing in at 13 lbs and 12ozs at his 2 month checkup and measuring over 24 inches long. This made it difficult to find a way to wrap him, even in the largest swaddling blankets we purchased. He is also a bit of a Houdini.
We bought the Swaddle Eaze product and were disappointed. Not only was the cloth cheap and scratchy, the velcro stuck to everything in the dryer! Additionally, I felt like I was putting my baby in a straight jacket at bedtimes.
So, I was thrilled when I recieved my Miracle Blanket. It is such a soft, quality cotton! And it is a gentle, but very effective method of swaddling an escape artist. My baby likes it too, no fussing or crying when I lay him down to wrap him up.
It takes very little practice to wrap your baby in this and you will love the way he/she sleeps longer and more restfully when you swaddle him or her. :) I recommend buying 2 so you have one if the other gets soiled.
June 10, 2008 True Miracle! This blanket is a must--pick any color but make sure you have one to wash and one to wear! My son hated his arms down at first so we folded the flaps under him but eventually he started letting us bind them. You can swaddle TIGHT with this!
May 31, 2008 Awesome product - this style is different size though The miracle blankets are wonderful, and work as advertised. However, the died natural blanket is obviously cut different or shrinks much more than normal, as after 1 week, it no longer fit.
May 27, 2008 This works but try not to get too dependent on it My husband and I watched The Happiest Baby on the Block DVD before our son was born and we started swaddling him on day 1. Every time he made a peep, we re-swaddled him. We had a couple of Kiddopotamus velcro swaddlers but we found that he was able to get his arms up. When I heard about this swaddle blanket I knew that he would never be able to get his arms up so we bought it. We only used this at night and we used it until he was about 5 months old. One night, we stopped swaddling cold turkey. It was easy for me and my son to give up the swaddling but not so easy for my husband - he was convinced that swaddling was the only reason our son was sleeping at night.
My opinion: this swaddle blanket really does what it's supposed to! No baby could ever wiggle out of it. The downside is that the parents may start to depend on it and be reluctant to give up the swaddling.
I bought one of these for a pregnant friend but she wasn't in to swaddling her baby and never used it. For that reason, I don't think it's a very good baby gift. Some parents and babies just never need to do the swaddling thing.
