User Submitted Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube Reviews November 14, 2008 My baby's favorite and mine too! I love this Magic Cube. It was a gift from a friend, and is a fantastic toy. The musical selection is good, the quality of the tones is also quite good. It is the first interactive toy my four month old baby figured out how to use, though he tends to hit the sides with his feet rather than his hands. You won't regret this one!
October 23, 2008 music? The musical sounds don't sound like the real instruments, they just sound like a cheap toy. Also, I thought each instrument would play its own melody, how it would in a real orchestra. For example, the horn would play the background, the flute a lighter melody, then all the instruments would combine to create the true melody when the orchestra button is pressed. But really, each button plays exactly the same notes except with a different instrument. I was really disappointed, and my daughter prefers the music buttons from her Tiny Love Activity Center. The ones on that toy are really neat.
October 14, 2008 My favorite baby present! This is my favorite baby present. My grandson learned quickly how to make the lights and sounds work and so did the Yellow Lab. It was a hoot to watch. MK
October 12, 2008 Great toy! This toy rocks. Small toddlers to preschool love it and its totally undestructable. You will be very happy with this purchase!
October 10, 2008 Musician Loves It My husband is a music professor, and we LOVE this toy. It was given to us as a gift for our now 3-year old, in 2005 (I mention this because a 2003 review complained about the music quality). Unlike most electronic toys, which we generally hate, this one was on-pitch. It allows children to listen for different voices in the harmony. Ours broke eventually (our daughter liked to throw it down the stairs, in addition to playing with it), but we are going to buy a new one.
October 1, 2008 I like it, the baby likes it, it serves it's purpose! I have read through some of the ridiculous low-star reviews and can't believe how anal people are. This is a baby's toy for $20. It's not a minature version of the New York Symphony stuffed into a $600 Bose music player, like some people are expecting.
Since this is a child's toy, I think it's serves it's purpose well. The music is clear. The lights flash when the music plays. I think it's neat that you can add or subtract musical instruments during the song that's playing so your baby can hear what each individual instrument sounds like.
My daughter loves the toy. It keeps her occupied for long periods of time and she's learning the names of each instrument and how they each sound both together in an orchestra and individually.
The people who are expecting this to be something more than it is need to understand that the toy wasn't designed for their enjoyment. The toy was designed for children. And, in my opinion, it's an exceptional toy that will keep most children entertained which, in and of itself, is a blessing.
September 30, 2008 The grandkids love it We have three new grandsons, all about 6 months old and they love this toy. They are learning how to add one instrument to another to change the sound.
September 29, 2008 Great toy My daughter loves the Mozart cube. She has enjoyed playing with it from 12 months through today (18 months) and I can't imagine her interest waning any time soon.
September 16, 2008 Musical and fun My one year old loved this toy and explored pushing all of the colors and sounds. She swayed with the music and loved looking at the lights.
September 9, 2008 nice Plays nice music that isnt to loud. Item is smaller than I expected, but that is not a bad thing as it makes it easier for little ones to hold/carry.
