Perfect for high jumpers
I needed a product to contain my acrobatic rat terrier to a 'safe' zone while I am out of the house; this is SO great! First off, its solid. Its not wobbly like alot of other gates I have seen. It's wood framing and locking arms are very sturdy.
The locking mechanism is also much sturdier than alot of other gates I have looked at. My little dog jumps at this thing with all of her might, and the gate stays steady.
The height is a huge plus as well. Those few extra inches make all the difference if you have a high jumper!

The PERFECT gate for ferrets!
I ordered this since I saw the other review from a ferret owner and they were exactly right - thank you!
Most gates have a bit of a gap on either side that's fine for dogs or babies but big enough for a ferret to either sneak through or to get a nose stuck. My last gate (this one by First Years - [...]) I had to buy wood and glue it to the sides to fill these gaps. This one sits really close to the wall on both sides so perfect right out of the box.
It also doesn't have the wimpy clips that some of the clear plastic gates have. Mine fell over once when it wasn't in use and one clip broken. Couple months later one of my cats pulled it over while jumping it (since it was loose with only one clip set) and the other clip broke. So less than a year later, I threw away a $40 gate!
This one is like the old-style wood gates with a notched bar, a metal bracket and a wooden arm that comes down to lock the gate in base. And once it's locked down it's VERY secure. Instead of plastic lattice of the old-style gates it's clear plastic - with only one vertical bar. As long as you put that side towards the ferrets there's no climbing the gate. At 32" it's also higher than some gates which prevent any vertical jumping over (not that ferrets can jump very well ;))
Definitely recommend and very happy I picked this one. Solid, well made and surprisingly inexpensive, too! Also would like to add that I ordered this with regular shipping on Dec 8th and it showed that it wouldn't be here till the 15th. It arrived on the 12th!

Ferret blocker!
Finally, a gate that the sneaky guy can't get thru. Once you figure out the locking system (it's a bit different)this is wonderful for keeping the small ferret out of where you don't want him to be. No holes to go thru the sides and no net to climb up and over. I will buy another one when the plastic baby gate from One step wears out that I bought 5 years ago that is now [........]. I am sure this would be great for baby too.

Keeps the critters at bay!
I bought this to keep my two ferrets bottled up in my living room. Since they can climb, jump, or find their way around a ton of obstacles this gate has been a lifesaver. I got two and they work perfectly as the ferrets have nothing to climb up due to the clear plastic panels.
When the gates arrived one was broken but Amazon took care of my problem in a day! I got a new one and the cost of me sending back the broken item was refunded...in a day! Love the service I get from Amazon, and the gates are great too, I highly recommend for anyone with ferrets, or any other creature that likes to go places it shouldn't.

Good pet/ferret gate
Other reviews are right on the money for this gate. It's fairly inexpensive and not thick plastic, but it's perfect for ferrets. Mine are livid that they can no longer climb or squeeze past the gate, but I'm very happy. I'm a little worried it might not hold up over a long period of time, but I'd be glad to buy another of these as long as it lasts for a couple years.

Finally a gate for Ferrets!!!!
I have bought many, many baby gates for the purpose of containing my ferrets....eventually they always figure out how to get over it! It has been weeks and they can't get over it....truly a excellent choice for a ferret gate!

GREAT product
I purchased this gate because we adopted a new dog and as he's a mix of Rottweiler and Doberman, he's very tall. This gate has allowed him to see our 4 cats, but has kept them safe. This is a very good quality product and I would recommend it to everyone.

North Stars ET Clear Choice Wood Gate
I am very pleased with this gate and for the price I paid through Amazon. It is tall enough to keep most of my dogs from jumping over. If you have a high jumper, they will probably be able to clear the jump though. Three of my dogs can still jump over it if they wanted to. The pressure mount is so easy to use. I also like the clear plastic. It keeps pets from "nosing" each other, but allows tham to still see each other. The only problem I encountered was when I first opened the gate to desired length-it was stuck pretty good and I had to really apply pressure to loosen it.

GREAT great GREAT gate
We needed a gate that the dogs couldn't get in, chinchilla couldn't get out or climb up. This gate is perfect! Works like standard gate, more attractive and nice and high. Recommend highly. I couldn't find it in any stores.

Perfect for pets that bite!
I recently brought a new puppy into my ferret househould, and this gate works perfectly! It keeps the ferrets from climbing over the gate into puppy territory (the clear plastic keeps them from scurrying on over), and my puppy can't bite through the cross-hatch bars most gates have. Plus, it's super sturdy!
