A cost-saving way to dispose of soiled diapers! This diaper pail's unique design keeps odors inside so you can enjoy baby's baby-fresh scent. It's so easy to use - you just drop in the diaper and close the lid. The lid is designed to push the diaper through odor-guard flaps and into the storage compartment. It uses standard trash bags - a savings of nearly $200 per year. The child-resistant locking button will keep curious little ones out as they grow and it holds up to 24 diapers. It couldn't be easier to keep the nursery smelling fresh and clean!
User Submitted Odor-Less Diaper Pail Reviews January 6, 2009 Works good! We purchased this diaper pail with our first son. We put all poopy diapers in baggies and tie them shut before placing them in the pail, and under normal circumstances would empty it once a week without a smell in the nursury. We're going on our second baby and I was wondering if the deoderizing part of this can be replaced at all. I haven't seen them sold anywhere.
August 24, 2008 Works Great I have used this diaper pail since we brought our son home over 3 years ago- it is now being used for his little sister. We didn't have any odor problems, but, I will admit that we put poopy diapers in the garage with our son, but we started using cloth diapers with our daughter, so they all get put in together, with the poop dumped out of course. Getting a new deodorizer disk helped a lot, as did making sure that it gets emptied every 2-3 days.
August 22, 2008 Canton Mommy I love this pail. It takes regular trash bags and contains the odors. It's not exactly odor proof, but you won't smell anything unless you leave it for more than two weeks. I keep a spray can of room freshener next to the pail and when I get a stinking diaper, I give the pail lid (the inside blue part) a quick spray and everything is fine. I'm happy with the purchase and since it was only 15 bucks, you can't beat the pricing. - Months later and still love it!!!
July 10, 2008 Not perfect, but personal touches have made it better We received this pail when my son was 3 days old. I loved that it didn't need special expensive bags. I do buy scented kitchen bags though (Glad vanilla) and have placed an odor eating type device in the bottom. The catch function never worked with tiny infant diapers. So we removed and tossed. For the nastier poop diapers we use those on the go dollar store individual bags to wrap them up or even lunch baggies. I have two children using the pail now, in the heat of summer. It is dumped more often. But even with the additional purchases I have made it is still a whole lot cheaper than the individual bagged system. I priced one recently for a shower gift and bought them this one instead!
May 30, 2007 Cheap and it works We have used this pail for 3 years, and 2 kids. The advantage is that this pail doesn't require any special bags. We change out the bag twice a week. You save a lot of money if you get sheap bags at Dollar Tree or Big Lots (works out to about 10-cents a bag). It does get stinky sometimes, but all garbage pails do and every child has an extra stinky diaper occasionally. Roll with it and save money when and where you can.
May 3, 2007 Not odorless We have used this safety 1st diaper pail for 13 months now. The ease of use and the fact that it uses standard kitchen size bags is a plus. The odor still comes through and often fills the room. We are currently looking for another solution. I do not recommend this product, spend a few dollars more and buy something that actually keeps the odor inside.
January 4, 2007 Excellent product & seller This seller provided this great item ( hard to find locally ) quickly & conveniently, at a great price. The diaper pail works great - wonderful that you don't need special bags. Very pleased!
August 26, 2006 Not really odor-less, or child proof This diaper pail is affordable and uses regular garbage bags, both of which were important to us when buying a diaper pail BEFORE the reality of dirty diapers. Even when we emptied the pail often and sprayed it with Lysol between uses, it still smelled bad every time we opened it. Sometimes the smell seeped out, so it made the whole bedroom stink. And my kids have no problem pressing the blue lid-popping latch-and, of course, adding their toys or other opjects to the contents of the dirty diaper pail. The twisting mechanism to remove the full bag is a great idea. It helps you not get the face full of odor when you open the pail... BUT you cannot let the pail get even close to full, or it wont twist. And after two years of use, the twisting mechanism doesn't work anymore. The latch for the small opening is also broken.
July 25, 2006 Definitely NOT odorless... I bought this diaper pail because it used regular garbage bags and it was less expensive. Well, I learned my lessen- you get what you pay for. Like some other reviews the spring on my top broke which is supposed to keep the claw, if you will, closed after you put the diaper in and keep the smell in. I changed the bag often but the pail still absorbed the awful smell and after cleaning it and soaking it, it still stunk! I am now on my second child and decided to buy the diaper genie. I hope this will work out much better!
July 14, 2006 Broken Spring I didn't give this pail 1 star because it does keep the stink out, and it does take standard garbage bags.
After a few months of use, the spring assembly on the blue cover popped off. I assembled it back together, and within a few days, the spring broke in half. I tried to get another spring by calling Safety First. They only had the blue top without the spring. The guy said I'd just have to buy another pail if I wanted a working pop top.
