A large wooden cube that offers a variety of colorful animal-themed activities on all four sides and on top, activities include rolling beads, doors that open and close to reveal animals, spinning letter and animal blocks, and a set of rotating blocks that form silly mixed up animals, or real ones when the sides align properly. At one year, children aren't ready to do more than move objects randomly. Our youngest testers found some of the activities easier to manipulate than others. With so many different types of activities, it's best to introduce and try to master only one age-appropriate activity at a time. Then, as a child's competence grows, introduce another.

She loves it!
Our eight month old granddaughter loves her busy cube - one side at a time. Seems to be sturdy and it sure is busy!

Great for early learning.
My almost 1 year old got this for christmas. He loves it. My 3 year old likes it too and likes to show his brother all the different things to do. I am very happy with this product.

Worth it!
I got this for my son when he was about 7 months old. He LOVED it from day 1 and still till this day enjoys playing with it for hours and he's 2 1/2 now. Even when I have company over, the teenagers and adults would find themselves playing with the top part. Totally worth every penny!

great fun toy - colorful too
The Parents Busy Zoo is a great toy for hand eye coordination and general development. My daughter enjoys it very much. Our pediatrician had similar toys in the office so I knew this would be a great investment. I had gotten this toy for her when she was all but 6 months old. She plays with it all the time. Her 3.5 year old cousin loved the toy as well. It is made of nice strong wood and very durable. Very safe since there are no corners.

Great fun - but keep an eye on little ones while playing
Our 12 month old adores this toy and I can see how she will grow into many of the features of it. For example, she really enjoys spinning the beads on top but can't push them uphill yet. She also really loves to slam the little wooden doors open and shut (yes, you can slam the door open against the side of the toy. It makes a loud clacking noise that causes her to giggle).

I would recommed keeping this toy on a floor or other hard surface. Toddlers can pull the toy onto themselves if it is placed on a soft surface (like in a playpen). It isn't heavy and she didn't get hurt from it but she wasn't really happy about it either. In any case, she resumed playing immediately once both child and toy were moved to the floor. Also, I would suggest padding the edges before giving it to a toddler since it is possible for them to lose their balance and conk their heads against the toy's hard edges. Again, much tears and a little bruise but she was fine afterwards.

Despite this, I highly recommed this toy for any but overly protective parents and have added the other Parents busy boxes to my wish list.

Great for my 9 month old son.
At first he was a little unsure due to the size of the busy zoo, but now he opens the doors to the animals. He loves the animals on top. It is an overall great toy. The only thing my husband and I do not like is: it is made in China.

Dangerous!
My 10 month old pulled this over on himself while playing with it. Luckily he didn't get hurt as it is quite heavy! I'm taking it back to the store tomorrow!

Our "B" is an "H"
Two children, ages 12 and 36 months, enjoy it. They play together for up to thirty minutes or so. The twelve month old pulls herself up and walks all around. It is heavy but could tip if an adult (or big brother) didn't hold it down. For wood floors you'll need to cut and stick felt strips to the bottom. Our "B" block is an "H" block so we will have to exchange it. We have a free standing maze and abacus so this seemed to be different enough with the wooden animals on top with the maze. I recommend it but check the blocks for accuracy. For the price, it's amazing considering other activity centers cost hundreds of dollars???

Beautiful and Durable Toy
I really love that this toy is so colorful and durable. I like all wooden toys because they really hold up. My baby is only 10 months old, so he doesn't seem to have much interest in it now, but I am sure he will grow more interest in this toy in the days to come! Great buy-very educational. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Old fashion style toy that is still ALOT of fun = No batteries = FUN
I bought this for my daughter after she turned one and she loves it. Shes had is for a few weeks now and she still goes to play with it first. It has lots of things to do and is very entertaining... the only thing I would make sure before buying is that they are steady on their feet - because it is made of all wood and would definately hurt in a fall. I love this toy and it will last for years to come.
