Works perfect with me :)
I love my Isis. A friend bought it to me as a gift and I use it everyday. First it was a little hard, but it was only because my milk wasn't coming out at all. But after my production started, the pump started to work perfectly. Highly recommended :)

Good pump
I used this pump with my second child, it was a good pump and easy to use. I had a few issues with it, but overall was very satisfied with it. Issue #1: If the little valve pieces were not perfectly in place you would have zero suction. I realize that this is a user error, but when you have 10 minutes to pump two breast...it can be an issue. Consant use helps minimize this issue.
Issue #2: After about 4 months of using this pump, I had a lot of problems with leaking around the neck where the bottle connect to the breast flange. I summed this up to daily use 2 or 3 times a day, however it was still an issue for me.
Over all this breast pump is easy to use, is soft and comfortable and super easy to clean. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive way to pump occasionally. THis is not a pump for daily use...if that is what you are looking for, I suggest the Ameda Purely Yours.

Philips Avent Isis On the Go Set

With all of the research I have done, I feel that this pump is the best quality manual pump that is on the market. The suction can really be compared to that of electronic pumps. You can control the speed and frequency yourself as well. A very good product.

Excellent!
This pump works wonderfully! Although it was a little difficult to figure out how to use it at first, once I got the hang of it, I can now pump more manually on one breast than I can with my double electric pump on both breasts! It is also way more gentle than my electric pump, too. I highly recommend this pump! Well worth the money.

Frustrating
Avent Isis Breast Pump with 2 Bottles Product is well made overall, but has a poor valve design that results in the valve losing suction and being pulled into the pump chamber. To replace or reset white valve you lose sterility and interrupt pumping - for me seems to happen at the worst time when the milk is flowing well. Having to start all over is a huge time waster and could be corrected by Avent with little modification ... seems to have been a recurring problem for some time. Other than white valve problem the product seems well designed ... my question to Philips Avent is "Why have you not fixed this yet??? Recurring problem to others as well - do not ignore if your time is worth anything.

Still can't get it to work
First off, I love the avent bottles and everything else that came in the package. However, I guess the suction is poor or I did not assemble it properly because as hard as I squeeze, I can't get it to work. I got the manual Medela pump from the hospital and it's perfect. The electric Medela pump is good also but it hurts more. So I prefer the manual Medela pump unless I could figure out the avent pump.

Manual pump
I have an electric pump but it is kind of bulky. I am returing to work and was looking for something more convenient. I had my reservations about whether I would be able to get enough milk and if it would be tiring to use the manual pump. Turns out I love it! I am able to get more milk than I was ever able to get from the electric pump in half the time. Because you control the pumping motion, you are more able to simlulate the actual sucking motions of your baby and not be limited to the settings of the electric pump. I wish I had this when I began nursing.

Avent Bottles Contain BPA Bisphenol-A.
I liked Avent Bottles, my daughter Liked them too! Then I found out about Bisphenol -A being used to make the Bottles. After re-searching Bisphenol -A, I discovered that exposing my baby to harmful chemicals with the potential for long term affects later in life, was definitely not for me!! There are other options out there, all glass bottles are safe, as well as Born Free, Mam by Sassy, Green to Grow and Adrini. Do your own research. I'm really surprised the non Bisphenol -A Free bottles haven't been recalled yet! I'm sure it's just a matter of time, before enough people are educated.

What am I doing wrong???
With so mant great reviews, I am sure I am doing something wrong! I love the case and accessories but I cannot get decent suction to pump any milk. My husband and I have rechecked assembly and all parts to make sure it is working as it was intended but still nothing. Please, someone, tell me what I'm doing wrong - I really want to love this pump!

Great Pump
This is by far the best pump that I've ever used. I've been using the Medela Symphony hospital grade pump, and the Avent Isis pump expresses the same amount of milk but takes half the time the Medela pump does. I don't even experience any kind of discomfort with the Avent Isis like I do with the hospital grade pump or even the Medela hand pump. Between the Medela Symphony hospital grade pump and Medela hand pump, the Avent Isis pump is by far the best. I also work full-time and carrying around the hospital grade pump has been rather burdensome - so I'm glad that I've found an alternative to this problem. Avent Isis handpump is the way to go!!!
