Extra wide 56" design secures a greater area of the bed. Gap guard prevents unsafe gaps between mattress and the side wall of the bed rail. A 20H"" sidewall enables use with extra thick pillow top mattresses. Its ultra compact fold reduces bed rail to a faction of its actual set up size, sturdy allsteel frame and fully padded upper rail."
User Submitted Regalo Sleeptite Portable Bed Rail - Extra-Long 56" Reviews August 28, 2008 good rail Very sturdy and perfect for the transition to a big bed. I have not traveled with it, but does have a travel bag that seems small. Covers almost the entire mattress with space enough on each side. I have no problem with the whole "not being able to make the bed perfectly" thing. I probably won't have this on long enough to care.
June 17, 2008 Does the job We purchased this to take to a friends. Light and folds easily. Perfect for keeping child from falling out of bed.
March 16, 2008 Easy to assemble, sturdy, and safe feeling I am very pleased with this bed rail! Even though other reviews said it takes 2 people to assemble, I did it by myself and I'm 5 months pregnant. I put it up on our spare queen bed which my daughter has decided to move into, and I was still able to get the straps under the mattress without too much effort. I love that it is made of metal so it feels sturdy. My daughter even tried shaking it and it didn't budge. I also love that it's extra long! It pretty much covered the full length of the bed which makes me feel really secure that she won't find an opening and fall out. I have already recommended this to everyone I know so they don't waste their time buying a bed with tiny built-in rails. This is a must have, and I love that I can bring it with me on trips, too, if I need to.
February 15, 2008 reassuring My daughter only rolls over sometimes but having a railing on the bed already is very reassuring. I sleep so much better at night :)
October 27, 2007 Great product! This bed rail was well worth the money. We purchased it for an extended vacation to use for our 25 month old little girl. We had just transferred her to her "big girl" bed a couple weeks prior to the trip. My husband had it set up at Grandma's house in about 15 minutes, without having the instructions, due to the fact that I left those at home in the box. So great product, it worked very well. I would just like to add though, that you may want to consider a second rail for hotel stays because most of those beds cannot be moved up against a wall.
August 24, 2007 Easy and Durable We got this bed rail when we were taking our 21-month-old on vacation and couldn't bring our crib with us. It provided excellent protection for her, preventing her from rolling off the bed she slept in at our vacation place. One side of the bed was against a wall, one side had the bed rail, and at the bottom of the bed we placed a row of pillows.
The rail was very easy to set up, with clear instructions and labeled parts. It was also easy to take down and easy to transport. It is strong and durable. Our kid liked to shake it back and forth, and it held up beautifully.
On top of everything else, it looks really nice. I highly recommend it!

June 9, 2007 Bed rail This bed rail was easy to assemble. It was difficult though, to get it to stay upright on the box spring in order to get the matress on top of it to secure the rail properly.
May 27, 2007 It is fine There was only 1 side rail. I did not read the description well. I do not think my daughter needs it in the full bed she is in, but it looks nice and she has not fallen out of her first "big girl bed" yet.
March 25, 2007 Does the job This bed rail was easy to install and does the job of keeping 2.5 yr-old from falling out of bed. BUT, I chose this product because it did not say that a box spring/mattress combo was required (we have a platform/mattress bed). So, though it works, we can not fold the rail down, which makes the bed inaccessible for dressing, sitting, etc. (without climbing over the rail). We are keeping it and hoping she outgrows the need for a rail soon, but it isn't exactly what I expected.
March 23, 2007 I love this Bed Rail It was a breeze to put together, It almost covers the whole side of the bed, it's very sturdy, and it looks nice too. Warning to those using the rail for a boy, it has lavender corners on the top. I don't know if anyone would care about that but just an FYI.
