User Submitted Sassy Baby Powdered Formula Dispenser, Multiple Colors Reviews October 30, 2008 Great item for on-the-go! This little thing is great. With my first child I toted around a ziploc baggie filled with formula for him, and it got holes in it more than once, and the scoop was messy and I usually got powder on my clothes or something. This one is great, you can pour the powder straight from the container into the bottle of water, and voila you are done! It is secure too, I was worried about it coming open in the diaper bag but so far it has been safe and sound even bouncing around with bottles, toys, and diaper stuff.
October 9, 2008 Works great Kinda bulky to keep in the diaper bag, but works great for more than formula.... snacks, rice cereal, etc
September 19, 2008 run away now! Didn't keep powder separated and made a huge mess trying to pour all the powder from on compartment into a bottle because of where the spout is. You have to shake it a bit to get it all out then you have powder leaking from other sides, pain in the neck! Not to mention it is hard as heck to clean. I will stick to using recycled baby food jars for my formula!
September 17, 2008 one single design flaw the only feature of the product anyone cares about is the ability to separate the powder- and keep it that way.
it could not do that.
failure, my friends.
May 15, 2008 These are wonderful These are great to take along so that you don't have to carry a whole can of formula or try to pour premeasured formula out of a baggie or tupperware. The chambers do mix a little at times but only when the lid isn't on tighly so make sure it snaps in place. All in all it's a great item.
April 27, 2008 Not very good. Each section only holds enough formula to make a 4oz. bottle. The formula also moves from one section to another.
April 14, 2008 Great for travel I always hated toting around the formula can with my other 2 children, so when I found this, I had to buy it. So far, I haven't seemed to have had the same problems as some of the other reviewers. It is a great help to have it already measured so that it cuts out some of the mess. The only thing would be if the hole was a little smaller. The larger hole makes it a little messier, but it's still a great product.
March 11, 2008 Shifting does occur Ok product for little bottle (4oz). Formula did shift from one cell to another, which defeated the purpose of the pre-measuring option. I eventually gave up on the option and bought a thermos to hold hot water and pre-measured formula into each bottle - it was a lot easier in the end.
February 28, 2008 Very convenient for baby formula... Although this item is not perfect -- there can be some shifting between compartments -- overall it's a very convenient way of packing baby formula into the diaper bag!
February 7, 2008 Not Worth It I really feel this product was a waste of my money.
This formula dispenser has 3 compartments. Each compartment holds 2 scoops of powder formula to make 4 oz bottles when added to water. Unfortunately, my baby outgrew 4 oz before she reached 3 months, making this dispenser useless to me.
I also had trouble getting the power out of the compartments. When I attempted to empty it into a bottle of water not all of the formula came out. The shape of the dispenser prevented it from emptying completely. The lid should be somewhat rounded to direct the formula out the hole. Instead it is flat, trapping powder contents before making it out the hole. Shaking & taping the dispenser didn't help.
I bought another dispenser similar to this one that works much better. The inside dividers are removable leaving it a cup. They say it converts to a "snack cup", but I fill it with dry formula & scoop it out as needed. It works much better than this dispenser & will be useful a lot longer!
