Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Wipes are made with your baby, and your environment, in mind. Unlike conventional baby wipes, Seventh Generation Wipes are not bleached with chlorine, and don't contain alcohol, fragrance, or synthetic ingredients that may irritate baby's sensitive skin.Completely Natural Cleaning for Your Baby Every caregiver wants what's best for their children and the world they will grow up in. Studies show that children are disproportionately affected by daily exposures to toxic chemicals. But caregivers often had to choose between products that worked and products that were healthy for their baby and the planet. Until now. When chlorine and chlorine derivatives are used in industrial processes (such as bleaching paper and wood pulp), they produce substances called chlorinated hydrocarbons, which persist in the environment, accumulate in animals and people, and can be toxic to human and environmental health. The production of chlorine can also release the toxic metal mercury into the environment. These baby wipes are made with all-natural ingredients, including water, Polysorbate 20 (a cleansing agent derived from sugar), glycerin (soothes and cleanses skin, vegetable-oil derived), citric acid (provides stability and pH balance), potassium sorbate (a natural preservative), aloe barbadensis gel (helps heal skin), and tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E acetate, helps heal skin). Hypo-allergenic, whitened without chlorine bleach, unscented, and alcohol free, Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Wipes offer are perfect for around the house. About Seventh Generation Seventh Generation offers a complete line of natural household products designed to work as well as their traditional counterparts, but use renewable, non-toxic, phosphate-free, and biodegradable ingredients as often as possible, and are never tested on animals. Seventh Generation products are healthy and safe for the air, the surfaces, the pets, and the people in your home--and for the environment outside of it. Every time you use Seventh Generation products you make a difference by saving natural resources, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment, and making the world a safer place for this and the next seven generations.
User Submitted Seventh Generation Baby Wipes Refills, Chlorine Free and Unscented, 80-Count Packs (Pack of 12) (960 Wipes) Reviews September 30, 2008 This works! Great product! I like that the fact that it doesn't leave the smell on baby like other wipes. Some non-scented wipes still have the diaper and the baby like they have used the bathroom
September 29, 2008 very gentle wipes My kids both had ongoing issues with diaper rashes before I finally realized that it was probably caused by the so called "sensitive" wipes I was using. One day I wiped my nose with one and it really burned! I was very upset that I had been exposing my children to something that was obviously not as gentle as the major brand manufacturer had made them appear. I could not believe that something marketed for babies' sensitive skin could be so harsh but sure enough, since we switched to these Seventh Generation wipes, their butts have been much healthier. These wipes are worth every penny I paid for them in the store and at this discount they are a super value. I will never go back to any other wipe again.
September 29, 2008 Wonderful Wipes and Not Just for Baby We found these wipes to be handy to have around not only for babies but also for picnics, camping and to use for cleansing when the power goes out and water is not available.
They are unscented in the sense that no artificial scents have been added but they do contain all natural lotion with aloe vera & vitamin E which I found give them a light pleasant smell. The fact that the wipes are hypo-allergenic makes them great to use for my son whose skin is hypersensitive.
They are soft and retain moisture consistently as long as the lid is closed. They are thick enough to clean the dirtiest baby's bottoms and cause no diaper rash! I found them to be competively priced compared to non earth friendly wipes. This was a welcome surprise because I have found that other Seventh Generation products are traditionally much more expensive than non eco-friendly products.
The wipes contain no alcohol and no chlorine bleach so they do not harm the environment for our children and grandchildren.
Overall I was very pleased with their cleansing effectiveness.
September 20, 2008 5 star wipes, 1 star container - use a different brand container We try to be as organic as possible when it comes to the products we use with our 11 week old baby. We use Seventh Generation diapers and wipes. The wipes are great - not too wet and not too dry and no odor. Our daughter has responded great to them. The major problem I have is with the Seventh Gen wipe dispenser - it is terrible. The wipes always fall out of the grips and it was a constant battle. I decided to try a Huggies Sensitive wipes dispenser and put the Seventh Gen wipes in it and that is a PERFECT combination. Great wipes and great container. Best of both worlds!
September 19, 2008 baby bottoms are definitely worth special consideration. i have a 4 month old and refuse to use any of the scented chemical wipes on him. these are great. nice size and durable. his bottom is pristine!!!!! i highly recommend earth mama angel baby bottom balm for best results. (and you really can't use too much; just make sure to pat dry before applying)
September 16, 2008 LOVE these wipes!! I have a 2 month old son. We have used these wipes and Seventh Generation diapers since he came home from the hospital. They are both wonderful products!
September 15, 2008 great wipes for sensitive skin These wipes are great for kids with sensitive skin. They are slightly smaller than other ones (i.e. Huggies, Kirtland). 7th generation wipes contain very mild ingredients, but they work just as well.
I switched from Kirtland brand wipes from CostCo after discovering they contained 2-BROMO-2-NITROPROPANE-1,3-DIOL a known human immune system toxicant. With Amazon's subscription service, these wipes aren't much more expensive and are much better for baby.
September 11, 2008 great wipes they aare healthier for babies than other wipes. Have recommended to my friends who are expecting.
September 7, 2008 As far as baby wipes go, it's about the best you can get I chose these baby wipes because they were given the second highest rating from the Environmental Working Group (the ones with the highest are impossible to find) http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/browse.php?category=babywipes We've been using them since the baby was a few weeks old (he's now almost four months) and he's never had any problems like diaper rash. I also like the fact that we're able to get refills and I don't need a bulky plastic container every time. Overall, great product. Of course, I wish I could forgo baby wipes in general for environmental reasons, but I'm not there yet ... so this is by far the lesser of the evils.
September 7, 2008 Seventh Generation - The preferred wipe! Almost perfect! Pros: They don't add any stupid fragrances to an already pungent situation. Friendly to your baby's tender bits. Fine for wiping down their faces with no interference to that nice baby smell. This cloth type wipe is thick enough to protect you and thin enough to be able to manipulate in those baby crevices.
Cons: Smallish in wipe size. Wipes generally dispense singly, but sometimes they dispense in multiples.
We have a subscription to getting these 12-Pack of 80-Count wipe packages! This is our second most critical brand-specific baby maintenance item. Our most essential brand-spcific items is Mylicon brand simethicone drops (we had problems with the generic store brand and painful gas we will throw money at to avoid).
