User Submitted Snazzy Baby Knee Pads, Princess Pink Reviews October 30, 2008 no grip they slid around on our tile and our baby couldnt even crawl. they were padded enough, but didnt grip. we had to return them. waste of $.
October 28, 2008 Good Product We bought these for our 3 year old disabled son. He is still learning to walk, so he still crawls on his knees a lot. The velcro in the back works well, and it is long enough that you could adjust it for lots of different ages. We put them under his pants, and you couldn't even tell they were there. He wore them for 3 hours at pre-school and they stayed in place the whole time. We did find that if he wears them for too long that they start to chafe the back of his legs. Overall, we are pleased with this purchase.
October 2, 2008 Don't waste your money Not enough give or bend. They slide right down the baby's legs. Do what I did... go buy a pair of wrist sweat-bands (found in the sporting goods section) at your local walmart. Cut a little hole out of the "back" of each band and then cut a little slit above it and then below it (this gives the band some give). Slide those over your baby's knees and you'll be set. Much thicker and softer!!!
July 22, 2008 Fits a toddler! I wasn't sure if this would fit my 2 year old since all the reviews seemed to be coming from parents of infants just learning to crawl. My daughter seemed to be going through a clumsy stage where she'd skin her knee then re-open the same scab again and again by falling some more. I was worried that she'd be left with permanent scars (which isn't the end of the world, but is a sort of unsightly reminder on my own legs of my rough and tumble tomboy childhood), so I got these kneepads. I can tell that they are a fairly high quality item, made with plenty of padding and stitched very well. The velco is adjustable; I can see that they could be a bit bulky for a crawling infant, but it will certainly last you through your walking and biking toddler years too. They fit my daughter just fine, but I have to say that unfortunately, she refused to wear them for very long. She couldn't get the velcro off herself, but she managed to push the whole kneepad down her leg to her ankles. Oh well, it was a great idea and well executed.
July 6, 2008 Good Product, Good Design I have had this product for about a month now, and quite honestly I haven't used them very much. I used them when I first got them and they worked well. My son is 8 months old and we have Mexican tile floors in our house and my dad has brick floors in his house, and his poor little knees get so red. I used them and he didn't seem to mind them, but he doesn't crawl on his knees anymore. He has figured out that he can get where he wants to go faster by crawling on his hands and feet. He does this even without the knee pads on. So they don't come out of the diaper bag much. He has chubby little legs and they aren't too tight. They don't slide down, and I am hoping to use them more when he learns to ride a bike, maybe. For crawling, I just haven't used them much but they are a good product. I would recommend them for any mom worried about her little one's knees.
June 16, 2008 knee pads Nice knee pads but a bit bulky for baby just starting to crawl. Maybe better after getting the crawling down pat.......
February 22, 2008 highly recommend these We have hard wood floors and these knee pads work well. They stay on and they have an anti-skid material on the padding so there is no slidding.
September 11, 2007 Must have for crawlers These knee pads are a must-have for crawlers. I have all hardwood floors and these have protected my babies knees wonderfully. They have a lot of cushion and traction nubbies to keep her from sliding. I even use them outside. The only downside is that they do slip down sometimes, but that is better than strangling her chubby legs with the elastic type. The other problem I have encountered is that the stitching is coming undone. I think this is because the velcro is super strong and when you pull it off there is a lot of strain on the stitching. Given the pros and cons and having tried other brands, I would still purchase these.
August 23, 2007 Too bulky for crawling I bought these for my 5 month old daughter who started crawling to protect her knees. They are too bulky for this purpose and also slide down and dont stay in place. I will save them for later. I think they will be great for roller skating etc.
July 26, 2007 For a knee walking or crawling baby Of course as soon as we bought these for my knee walking daughter, she decided to start walking almost immediately!! She did wear them for a short time and we will save them for when she starts riding a tricycle, etc. They were a little difficult to keep on, they would slide a lot, and also were a little hot, especially during the summer. I'm sure they will be a little more useful as she uses them more like the traditional knee pad vs. to assist with crawling
