From the ManufacturerThe all new Folding Bath Sling is a must-have for space and comfort conscious parents! The first bath sling to completely fold flat for storage, it is also contoured and cradling so baby doesn't slip and slide during bath time.
User Submitted Summer Infant Fold N' Store Tub Time Bath Sling Reviews May 30, 2008 all you need skip the bulky plastic things. this is all you need for the bath. my baby loves it. it is small, soft and easy to clean. update- now that my baby has hit 3 1/2 months she is outgrowing this seat and slides out as she kicks in the water so only buy this for your newborn. it is worth it for the first few months. my baby has never been afraid of the bath... maybe because she was comfortable and secure in this seat.
March 28, 2008 safe, sturdy, compact bather This sling is just what we've been looking for and I wish we'd had it during the first 5 months. Unlike the big bath sponge we used earlier, this one is lightweight mesh fabric that lets the water and air pass through easily so it dries completely once you're done with no mildew smell to contend with.
The incline is great because you can pour water on the baby's tummy and there's less chance of it pooling around her chin or getting in her mouth. It also allows baby to see what you're doing. We fill a big bowl with water at her feet and dip water out of that to soap up the washcloth and rinse as needed. Since the sling is inclined, she can watch us do each step.
Also, since the Bath Sling folds into such a compact size, once it's dry between baths you can store it in a drawer, under the sink, or even take it in your suitcase for trips. It'd be nice if it were a smidge longer: we didn't get it until our baby was 5 months old and as we head for month seven, she's getting a little long for it, but we use it anyway and just let her legs extend a little more past the end.
If you're debating bath products, skip the sponge (hard to squeeze water out, bulky to store, especially when wet) and get this sling. You can us it from birth to at least 6 months or longer and by then, some babies can sit in the tub without help, so you can get a lot of use out of it.
March 28, 2008 Great sling but outgrown too fast! Our sink wouldn't fit the baby tub and putting the baby tub in the big tub was just too awkward to manage on many levels. This sling is great when traveling. Also good for getting your little one to relax while you wash all those nooks and crannies you can't get to when he/she is sitting. I give it four stars only because I wish it were bigger! My son outgrew it at about a VERY squirmy 6 months / 27 inches / 17 pounds...
March 4, 2008 perfect for new born most of bath tube build with seat in which is real hurt new born baby's back and tail bone. this one is perfect for new born, support body very well, suggest combine with IKEA's baby bath tube. price is good too.
February 7, 2008 Good product. Simplicity works well here. This product is light, small, very easy to use. It dries more quickly than other bathing items I've used, and is easy to store. Wish I had this for my first two boys, instead of wasting $30+ on other products that in the end I liked less. This was so worth the buy.
January 27, 2008 Perfect! Impeccable product... Cute design, very light and easy to carry, fits perfectly in my baby's tub plus very cheap in comparisson with others. Does the job perfectly for me. Happy I bought this one.
November 29, 2007 A Great Help This product is great, I no longer had the sling that came with our baby's tub, and this is an excellent replacement. And after use, it folds right up for easy storage.
July 25, 2007 A good choice for no mold! I have 3 different versions of these, and this is the best one for 2 reasons. First, it fold and is space saving for under sink storage. Secondly, it is all mesh with no "stuffed" or padded parts, or sponge parts. This dries out quickly, where others have to drip dry for hours and days and the ones with padding start to smell moldy very quickly. Also nice to have one for travel if you are staying out of town overnight. It snaps into position and is very secure for little ones. Love it!
