User Submitted Tots In Mind Cozy Portable Playard Tent plus Cabana Kit 1 White Reviews November 26, 2008 For a good nights sleep this is what you need! My daughter began climbing out of her bed and unfortunately once she gets over she fell to the ground. I could not sleep at night because of this and after I ordered the tent all my worries are over. She became quite masterful of climbing and now she can't get out at all. The only problem with it as far as I can see is that it isn't something I'd want to constantly take on and off. I have when we were going out of town and experienced a small tear that did not affect the overall integrity of the tent. I now just keep all the rods in place and "fold" it flat and tuck it under the bed while traveling. But the benefits of the tent far outweigh these minor problems.
October 8, 2008 secure minded mommy i love this thing ! It was not hard to put together at all ! We could not get our son to sleep in his own bed becase he kept crawling out now he is sleeping throught the night in his own bed without escaping .I feel safe knowing hes not going to get hurt.I really do reccomend this product.
October 3, 2008 Works Great! Easy to set up and works well. Our 13 pound cat even jumped on it to test it, worked as advertised!
July 5, 2008 Almost Perfect! I bought this tent for a Graco Pack n' Play that my daughter is currently using for a bed until we can move her into her brother's room. We loosely cover the Pack n' Play with a sheet to make it a little bit darker, so once she could sit up I knew it would be safer to have this tent. I bought the full crib size version of this tent a couple of years ago and never had any problems with it. This smaller play yard tent is the same design but doesn't fit the Pack n' Play as well as I had hoped. My Pack n' Play has to curved ends that the tent doesn't fit very well. Also, when I received the tent it had a few snags in the mesh. I didn't send it back because I know from experience this is going to happen eventually. If your play yard is flat on all sides then I would say this is the perfect product. This still works for us as I just made some adjustments by not using all of the clips. As for the cabana feature, this was no use to us because our daughter could already sit up when we purchased this (it makes a very short cabana). The cabana may work for a newborn however. I definetely recommend this product if for nothing more than the peace of mind it will give you.
July 3, 2008 works well so far...... We desperately needed this product so we could travel and visit family. Our boys are a little over two years old and can easily get out of the pack and play. They are still in a dangerous stage as far as what they could get into and a possible fall down stairs. We called the tent their "special fort". They were excited about using it at first. Now,they are on to the fact that they can't climb out with the fort on. They do give us a little opposition at nap and bed time, but ultimately go to sleep. We feel good knowing that they are safely tucked in bed. That all being said, these crib tents (even the regular size one for the big crib) are hard to assemble with one person. You have to be pretty srong to get all of the rods in place on your own. The mesh can rip easily and we had to sew one side of it already. But once you put one together, it makes the others easier to put together. We assembled 4 of them: 2 for the pack and plays, 2 for the big cribs, as we have twin boys. It is an absolute life saver for us. We are not ready to give up the control of having our boys safely contained in bed at night. They really are not ready for that either........
May 22, 2008 Must have! This is a must have if you have a baby and cats in your household. I have used this for both of my children and it works great plus you don't have to worry about the cats getting in bed with baby!
May 17, 2008 Peace of mind! This playard tent has been a lifesaver! We are using our playard as a bassinet for our 6week old daughter. Until this arrived my husband was sleeping in the guest room with our dog and cats. I felt horrible locking them all out of our room. Now I just lay the baby down and zip it shut! We are all back in our room together. The cats love to sit on the edge of the bed and watch my daughter but I can fall asleep knowing there's no chance of them getting in and snuggling up to her. Once we move her to her nursery I will definitely be buying the Tots In Mind Crib Tent. Worth every penny!
April 9, 2008 Necessary for my Monkey Boy We had to get this so my son could stay at other peoples homes without escaping at 15 months. It clips on easily onto Pack N Play. No problems putting it together- similar to a regular tent. I read complaints about trying to take it back appart once assembled, so we haven't. We just keep it assembled, throw it in the back of the car when going somewhere and hook it on the ceiling of our garage when we are not using it.
I also own the one for his regular crib- a complete relief. Now I can sleep easy.
April 5, 2008 Playard shape makes a difference... I ordered this netting to keep my cat from jumping in the playard of my new grandchild, and it is secure enough to keep the cat out. I only wish they would have noted a warning that it could be difficult to fit and secure if you have a playard model (of which there are many!) that have a curved top and bottom.
I was able with manipulation to get the netting over the frame, but the top and bottom (head and foot area) were not able to be snapped onto the curved surface. This resulted in two open ends for my friendly feline to slip through. I managed to "lace" the two open ends to the frame and accomplish my objective. It would have been nice if they mentioned the difficulty of making it conform or made one to fit the curved style. I don't think the other manufacturer of these nets is any different, so I am OK with the result, it just doesn't look as "finished" as I would have liked.
January 29, 2008 Pleased overall I'm pretty pleased with the playard tent. I bought it to help keep my son from climbing out of his playard. It definatly has served it's purpose. Putting it together was a cinch along with taking it down when I needed to travel. The only problem is that the plastic clasps that keep the tent on broke extremely easy. It came with a few replacements, though it's not going to be enough if they brake everytime I have to travel with it.
