Excellent for the price
I would recommend for 12 months and up. I bought this for my daughter, and we use it a lot at bath time as well as daytime. What I like is that she can grow into it a little bit, because they have a hook and several fishes. You "catch" the fish with the hook. At this point, she is too young for it, but if we can hold onto those pieces long enough, at some point that would be a great dexterity challenge for her!

Tug boat
I thought this was going to be a great bath toy but the screws are already starting to rust out. They should have used stainless steel. The kids still love it though.

Great tub toy
I bought this for my daughter who is 2 1/2 years old and she loves it. I had read the other reviews and was concerned about the open portholes causing sinking - but the boat that I received has closed portholes. Looks like the designers have fixed that problem!
This is a very fun toy for a kid who has outgrown the basic baby bath toys. My daughter loves that all the things can be stored inside the boat - and is always taking them in and out. The stacking cups with drain holes are a fun toy all by themselves - so is the fishing set. I think this is well worth the money. Fun for the kiddie pool and the bath!

One of my son's favorites
My son loves this tug boat. It has gotten him through many baths and still holds its entertainment value. He especially likes the stacking cups and counting the fish. My only complaints is that the boat does sink easily. Other than that, it is a perfect tub toy!

Fun on dry land! Sinks in the water!
My son got this when he turned 2. Now 2.5! We had a pool party and quickly discovered this boat dosen't float! His cousin had alot of fun going to the bottom of the pool to get it. The toys that come with it are nice but we had to take the fishing pole away because he kept getting hurt (swinging it around). He uses the scrubbers in the bath to clean his toes and finger nails. He pushes the boat around on the carpet and seems to like it. WISH IT WOULD FLOAT!

sinking boat
We bought this bath toy for our son when he was 1, he is now 2. He really enjoyed playing with the toys that came with the boat. However, he gets very frustrated with the boat itself. It fills with water and is constantly sinking. Over and over again he would become frustrated, so we put it away. At times he still plays with the other items, but we got this specifically for the boat. So for us, this item was a disappointment.

Love it!!
I bought this for my 14 month old, and he absolutely loves it! All of his other bath toys are now collecting dust! He loves trying to catch the fish with the fishing pole and watching water come out of the bottom of the stacking cups (they have different sized holes for the water to filter through).

cutest toy!
I bought these when my daughter was 12 months old we took the fishing pole away till she gets a little older since it seemed to always go in her mouth she loves the toys, but the fish arent really durable, my daughter left one out and my husband steped on one of the plastic fish and it broke to peices! othen then those small draw backs this toy is great, I also noticed the holes as another poster wrote were way too low and kept sinking, but my daughter didnt seem to mind thats all that matters, another thing is make sure this toy is dry because the screws on the side can rust I've dried it every time after use with a towel and q tips.

Great toy
We bought this for our daughter when she was 6 months old (she's one now), and I believe we'll be seeing it in her bathtub for at least another year, if not longer. It's a great mish-mash of things to play with.
The cups are terrific (and they have nice soft rubbery rims for your little teethers), one is solid, and the two others have different sieves on the bottoms so baby can play pouring games. They also stack on each other, and there is a place to fit them on top of the boat so they make a smokestack!
The fisherman floats in his life ring, and you can also sit him on the top of the boat.
The fish are fun to play with for an infant (one is a comb, and another has a nailbrush on it, so they can help with grooming too!), and when baby is older, they can be fished for with the fishing pole.
The paddle wheel on the boat itself can be wound up, and then the boat will propel itself a short distance.
And when bathtime is over, everything fits neatly into the boat for storage.
I've tossed the whole kit and kaboodle in the dishwasher for cleaning without a problem, so it's easy to clean up if your little one has an accident in the tub.

The only complaint I have with it is the portholes on the boat are set a little low, and it fills too easily, causing the boat to sink. This is really minor -- Baby barely even notices. But I do!

Even with that, though, I would buy this again, and will probably buy it as a gift for other families.

Lots of fun.
My 2.5 y/o really likes all of the different toys that come with the boat (fish, Captain, cups...). Provides endless entertainment. Only con - the portholes in the hull of the boat are too low and the boat fills with water and sinks real easily.
