But maybe she has a Prince Charming already: her anonymous e-mail buddy (Chad Michael Murray), who arranges to meet her at the Halloween dance. Sam panics when the mystery man turns out to be the coolest guy on campus. Can he love a girl not part of the in crowd? Can fairy tales come true? Only if Sam stands up for herself and turns her dreams into reality.
User Submitted A Cinderella Story (Mini-DVD) Reviews September 30, 2008 Hilary Duff shines as a Cinderella growing up in an unhappy home This is a "survival story" of a young girl named Samantha Montgomery, a.k.a. Diner Girl (Hilary Duff). After losing her father in an earthquake, she is "forced" to live under the strict control of her stepmother Fiona (Jennifer Coolidge) and stepsisters, Brianna & Gabriella (Madeline Zima & Andrea Avery respectively). Life gets tough for Sam as she has to work at the family diner after school, study to get good grades at school so that she could go to Princeton University, and suffer from constant nagging of Fiona. Thanks to the supportive staff at the diner who owed loyalty to her late father and Samantha than to the "dragon lady" Fiona. Her best friend Carter Farrell (Dan Byrd) is a great help in her life even though he is a geek, and an online buddy named Nomad (Chad Michael Murray) makes her love life interesting. Nomad is actually Austin Ames, the coolest kid in school but she doesn't know that and the Nomad doesn't know that his email-pal is the Diner Girl. When they meet at the Halloween dance in their costumes (against the wishes of Fiona), she comes to know her email-pal is none other than Austin Ames, but he doesn't identify Samantha in her Cinderella costume. Later he finds out the identity of his email-buddy; they split, and later, they make up and end of going to Princeton. The staff at the diner helps her to locate her father's will that shows that she owns everything that belonged to her father.
Hilary Duff has performed brilliantly, and her resemblance to another teenage sensation Miley Cyrus (Hanna Montana) is striking. The movie uses several well known songs that include; "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" by Natalie Cole, and "Sympathy" by The Goo Goo Dolls. Several songs beautifully performed by Hilary herself include; "Crash World," "Anywhere but Here, and "Our Lips Are Sealed." This movie very entertaining and recommended for all members of the family.

September 1, 2008 Another Pretty Good Chick Flick!!! As I've mentioned before, I watch these types of movies on rare occasions. A Cinderella Story was pretty good! Hilary Duff is extremely sexy! Duff plays Sam, who has mean step-sisters and mean step mom. She has been texting Austin Ames. When they meet at a HALLOWEEN dance party, Sam has to hurry and get back to her step mother's diner before she finds out that Sam left. After the dance, Austin goes on a spree to find out who dressed as Cinderella at the dance. If you like Hilary Duff, you'll love A CINDERELLA STORY!!!!
July 30, 2007 cinderella story a great movie for kids ages 5-35. same basic "cinderella" story with a new modern twist.
June 29, 2007 Cinderella Story An entertaining story for Hillary Duff fans...or not. Purchased as a gift for twin 10 year old girls who enjoyed the movie.
June 20, 2007 The Story of The Cinderella I first watched this movie when it came into theatres, and I actually talked my friends into watching this instead of another movie, which was a hit thriller.
The main reason why I chose this over the other movie was not because of the cast members. Though i admit that I admire the beautiful Miss Hilary Duff and Mr Chad michael Murray as many teenagers do out there(hey! I'm only sixteen myself!), I watched the movie because I was attracted by the story.
Cinderella is one of my favourite fairytales since I was a kid, and I am really glad that it's made into a comedy telling the story of a girl. A Cinderella Story illustrates many aspects of lives of teenagers; family, school, friends, part-time job... and it's shouting out to every teenager out there: never give up. Cling onto your dreams. Eventually, everything will be alright.
Fairytales are like dreams of every person out there, no matter you are a kid or you are an adult. Many say that they are like perfections that don't exist. Well maybe they don't. But if you really look and you really try to see, they are there, waiting for you to explore.
March 27, 2007 One of my faves!!!!!!!!!!! This is a great movie! About a girl named Samantha [people call her Sam]attending high-school.She has two mean step-sisers and a mean step-mother. Sam meets a boy through her cell-phone and they start chating. They don't know who they are talking to,so Sam calls him "nomad.'' She is really talking to Austin Ames,a populer boy in school. They talk through their cell-phones and computers. Then Austin askes Sam to go to the dance at the high-school with him.Sam's step-mother forbids her to go,but Sam, with the help of some friends, gets out of he house, and gets a lovely dress to wear. The party is a costume party,or a halloween party.Sam gets dressed like Cinderella, with a little white eye mask. Her and Austin dance the whole time, but Austin still dosen't know who she is.DON'T MISS HIS FILM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

March 16, 2007 TOTALY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I LOVE this movie! And I think the number of stars should be raised! Its about a girl named Samantha[Sam]who lives with her step-mother and two hard-hearted step-sisters.Sam wants to go to school, but, her step mother forces her to work at her diner.Anyway,Sam gets a hold of of a boys email adress from her high school[they don't know who their emailing to]which she calls,"nomad''.They talk to eachother through emailing eachother through their cell-phones and computers. Then,"nomad'' asks Sam to go to the coming up dance at the high school with him.Sam,with the help of her friend at the diner and her friend at high school[dressed as Zero, for the costume dance]manages to sneak away from her forbidding step mother.THATS ALL I'M TELLING YOU,SO DON'T MISS THIS FILM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 10, 2007 Love this movie! I just adore this movie...it's one of those movies you can watch over and over. It's a cute story and even though I really don't like Hillary Duff, I love her in A Cinderella Story. Definitely a great spin on the whole cinderella thing.
