User Submitted Baby Einstein - Baby MacDonald - A Day on the Farm Reviews June 28, 2008 Your child will learn less, not more. Your child would love watching this video, but she'd also love eating cotton candy and drinking grape soda. Many pediatric and psychological studies have shown that young children know FEWER words for every hour they spend watching videos like this one. Why? Because they aren't spending time with YOU, practicing their language and social skills. There's also evidence that young children who watch TV have a greater risk of developing ADHD. Last, toddlers who grow up in homes with the TV always on in the background literally seem to have more trouble hearing themselves think. This hurts their developing linguistic abilities and consequently their abilities to engage silent reasoning.
Please protect your child -- don't let her watch any TV during her early, crucial, developmental years. We only watch TV when our little girl is asleep.
June 2, 2008 I'm dissapointed with the new release! I bought a copy of this one two years ago, but unfortunately my son damaged it. He loved it so much I decided to buy it again. I bought the new release of the dvd thinking it was probably better than the original. I was very dissapointed to find out that the language tracks are not available, even though it plainly states it on the back of the dvd case! I love the Baby Einstein series because its a great way to keep Spanish in my child's life. I would not have bought it again if I had known that the language features were no longer available. False advertising!!! If youre gonna do something, do it right or dont do it at all.
May 23, 2008 Fun :) My 9 month old daughter is absolutely thrilled to watch this video ..esp the cow !! Its great when I have to leave for work and need to divert her attention .. it should help her get some knowledge when she grows older ..
April 29, 2008 Still one of my son's favorites For those of you who think your child might outgrow this simplistic DVD at a very young age, you just never know! When we take longer trips in the care, it is still one that my 3-year old requests for viewing. Definitely worth the money.
April 25, 2008 Can't go wrong.... Can't go wrong if your child loves these videos. My grandson watches them over and over and over and over......
April 7, 2008 Great video! My daughter loves this video. She is 18 months and watches it over and over. She is learning the names of the animals, she points and says some of them. This video is one of the best they have made.
April 7, 2008 LOVE IT! My boys have a lot of the Baby Einstein DVDs and they absolutely love this DVD as well. This is one of their favorites that they request quite often. They love all the animals long with the sound that they make. Great DVD!
April 3, 2008 average My son loves the Baby Einstein World Animals and Baby Noah. This one is not as interesting to him. Would HIGHLY recommend the other 2, not this one.
