User Submitted bABY eINSTEIN Reviews July 8, 2008 Great Set I purchased this set for my son, so far I'm only had difficulties viewing one of DVDs, I still haven't play all the DVDs to date. So far, its pretty good, for the bargain purchase.
March 3, 2008 Caution... Pirated Set I was very excited to find this product as my 16 month old son LOVES Baby Einstein. However, this product is pirated, which many people don't care about, but several of my DVDs would not play. They also had weird swirl marks on the back of the DVD (which would not wipe off and were not scratches) on the ones that would not work... pair that with the packaging, obviously pirated.
I also called the Baby Einstein company and they informed me that they do not sell a product packaged like that and that the DVDs are pirated.
I ended up sending them back and luckily the seller gave me a refund. (Also, I know for a fact that several sellers don't admit they are pirated b/c they didn't make the copies themselves, but they are.) So just a caution, even if you don't care if they are pirated, at least ask the seller if all of the DVDs play before purchasing them.
January 9, 2008 they are cute I have 18 month twins and no they don't watch they whole show and I don't expect them to! I play the viedos as back ground noise. Once in awhile they will look up and see what is on the TV and watch a minute or two and then move on. I think they are cute video and I don't mind "watching" them with my babies
January 27, 2007 Great! Love this set. Keeps my two month baby busy. The box set makes it so much easier to transport than a bunch of DVD's with cases.
January 9, 2007 Great Set This is a great set at a price that can't be beat! The only downside of the set is the LONG intro. My daughter gets bored so I have to stand there and fast forward through it. But this is a life saver so I can get things done around the house. They are just 1/2 hour long which is perfect.
December 10, 2006 Great CD Pack We have been looking for the complete set of baby Einstein CD's. Our grandbaby loves them. Thank You kim-Angle.
August 28, 2006 Info on the Baby Einstein Series Here is information on all the current 21 Baby Einstein DVDs including suggested times to introduce them to your little one. This information IS NOT available with the DVD sets but I gleaned it from several sources for my own use. You may like to print this out for future reference.
The videos in the Baby Einstein series are designed as `video board books' for your baby and offer you the opportunity to interact with your child in the same way you do with books as well as act as a distraction for that deeply needed parental bathroom break. Most of the DVDs have the option to "play" or "repeat play" and are about 20-30 minutes in length -- the repetition being very stimulating and comforting to the younger set.
While I don't think viewing Baby Einstein DVDs will make my infant "smarter" she sure does enjoy them! They give me a great way to interact with her as well as a few minutes here and there to get a few things done around the house. Their ability to calm her when she's fussy is already legendary in our household.
All the Baby Einstein DVDs are "region 1" which means they only play on machines in the U.S. and Canada.

August 17, 2006 Love them. love them love them I would suggest these videos to anyone with young children. I have a 2yr old and he still loves them. he started watching them at 4 months old. he still loves. and at night if we play them it helps him go to sleep. I have 8 of the baby einsteins and paid $15.00 dollars a piece for them and even $17.00 for some. so the fact that u get 16 videos for that price is a sweet deal. i wish i had known about it. I think that if a child starts out at a young age watching them then they'll even like them when they are older.
June 8, 2006 Baby Einstein 16-Pack - Amazon.com Exclusive My 16-month old loves watching these video. He repeats the words he hears, and can now associate each word with the object being described. The sign language component adds to this video's value, and the variety of puppets and familiar household objects keeps his attention well.
May 13, 2006 Worth it. But... Our son loves the entire series. He's been watching the DVDs since he was 6 months old. The visual stimulation together with the music makes this a valid educational/developmental tool in our opinion. Now at 18 months, he still loves watching some of the DVDs in the collection.
Our biggest complaint is the opening sequence as another poster mentioned. Until the feature actually begins, the child must sit through a series of commercials for other Disney products and useless splash bits like the Baby Einstein worm crawling, etc. A good three minutes is wasted when the child has plenty of time to scan the room for something else to grab or do. The producers in my opinion got a little too carried away with the intro.
