Legendary police detective Dick Tracy is the only man tough enough to take on gangster boss Big Boy Caprice and his band of menacing mobsters. Dedicated to his work but at the same time devoted to his loyal girlfriend, Tess Trueheart, Tracy find himself torn between love and duty. His relentless crusade against crime becomes even more difficult when he gets saddled with an engaging orphan and meets seductive and sultry Breathless Mahoney, a torch singer determined to get the best of Tracy. A faceless character, the Blank, threatens both Tracy and Big Boy, and it takes all of Tracy's skills to save the city.

Some really good scenes, & very entertaining
This has a lot of fantastic visuals and some really good action in places. Very impressive, great adaptation.

Stylish fun.
Dick Tracy starring Warren Beatty is a stylish and colorful film based on the comic book but the plot is not so hot. The cast is great, Warren, Madonna, Al Pacino and many more light up the screen. Madonna who plays Breathless Mahoney is fabulous in this movie, she sings as well. After all these years, Dick Tracy kind of loses its luster but the picture quality is wonderful so check this '90s classic out soon!

Great movie at an amazing price
This was one of my favorites and I was very excited to find it at a great price! I ended up finding many more of my favorites from the "You May Also Like" section after ordering this DVD.

Love This Movie
This Movie is an old time favorite all the characters from warren Beatty, to Madonna and My Favorite Al Pacino this movie has it all. I would reccomend it to any one young and old! I could and will watch this movie over and over again.

A Great Version Of A Classic Comic Book Character Brought To The Big Screen!!
I had to revisit this movie almost 20 years later
to really grasp the film makers vision of this old
comic book classic!--Warren Beatty, Al Pacino,
Dustin Hoffman and the other cast members all pull off
stellar depictions of the classic arch-villians that generations
from the late 30's to the 60's grew up on!
The real catalyst that brought all of this together
though was the excellent make-up, costuming and cinematography!
--Just stellar!!--Even Madonna did a good job as "Breathless Mohoney"
--Her and Beatty were hot and heavy during this time
and she was in the midst of her "Blonde Ambition
/ Truth Or Dare" period!!--Can U Say Femme Fatale?
If you get into comic characters brought to life in
a believable fashion, then this is great for your collection!

watercolored up the yin yang!
if you sit through this movie and don't enjoy it...then you're a fool! Warren Beatty at what i think is his best! an all star cast, hoffman, pacino, madonna, caan, and the other people! The movie was non-stop entertainment and really captured the feel of the comic strips.

Great movie for the dectective at heart
Dick Tracy is an action packed classic detective story. The movie features loads of bad guys that each has a unique visual presence throughout the movie. Warren Beatty gives a realistic and believable performance as Dick Tracy himself. For those looking for some nostalgic Madonna action, look no further. She's stylish and sexy in those black outfits she wears.
If you're looking for a fun night at the movies, this is a winner!

Excellent film! Excellent soundtrack! Seen it time and time again.
Why Marvell Cariaga is listed as the main star, I have no idea. Warren Beatty is the main character.

a good film bad judgement
why is itevery time beatty enters the picture with a film hes gotta louse it up by acting in it i know he like to look at himself in the mirror but so dose every other director look at george lucas for example and you dont see him screwing all his films up well not all his films any way take this picture for instantce it could do without the love story and stick to the point of the plot getting caprice this is why sin city was great it stuck to the point second nobody cares for madonna somebody else that could have stayed out of this film ive read dick tracy its no brodway comic strip or disney for that matter frank miller should have taken over the screenplay and did it justice.hopefully somebody else will remake this film but with beatty fighting to ruin the strip yet again in court that wont be happening anytime soon.
