Join a precocious golden retriever pup as he takes off on a magical journey to the wilds of the Australian Outback in this wonderful all-animal adventure. Napoleon is a wonderful treat the whole family will love! Life as a house pet isn't much fun for young Muffin, a puppy who dreams of being a "wild dog." So when he gets his chance to escape his suburban backyard in a helium balloon-powered basket, the pup hops on board, changes his name to Napoleon and sets off on the adventure of a lifetime. Along the way he meets some very special friends a chatty parrot, a wise owl, a clever koala and more who help him on his journey for excitement. But fun isn't all that Napoleon discovers on his quest for adventure...he also learns more about the world and himself than he ever thought possible.
User Submitted Napoleon Reviews August 9, 2008 Baby loves this video This video was a God-sent one, as we traveled up north this weekend and our 12 month old was captivated and content watching Nepolean over and over again (she loves dogs!) during the 6 hour trip. The dog's voice is soothing and the video is action packed for little ones. Napoleon saved our long trip and has a new admirer: our Natalie.
February 24, 2008 Great Movie After my daughter borrowed this from the library and watched it four times (and would have watched it twenty) I knew we had to get our own copy. It is good enough that it will keep an adult interested also- at least for the first viewing.
July 14, 2007 the best movie i have ever seen this movie is great for adults and kids. its a wonderful story about a puppy that goes out see the world. his adventures get him in some trouble and teaches great lessons. after all is done, he just wants to get back home. very cute.
June 26, 2007 Napoleon Wonderful wonderful movie. Two days later I am still thinking about the movie and telling everyone. It was shown on Showtime and not everyone subscribes to Showtime. So I decided to search for it on Amazion for my very own copy. Great to have in your back pocket for unexpected kiddy guests etc.
March 27, 2007 Napoleon I haven't watched this DVD yet, but it arrived quickly and in excellent condtion
January 18, 2007 Cute movie!! This movie is about a golden retriever puppy named muffin, -(though he likes to be called Napoleon)- who is done with being a city pup, and wants to answer the call of the wild dogs. Finally getting his chance, he climbs aboard a wicker basket with balloons, and sets off on an adventure to find the wild dogs.
If you love talking animals, then I strongly recomend this movie. It also has great, heartwarming music by Bill Conti.(You may cry at some of the songs, I know I did). Enjoy!
October 1, 2006 the cutiest little movie!!!! I first saw this movie at a friends house and now I am in love with this movie. Every time I go over there, I'd always ask to watch it! The puppy is sooooooo cute and everything else about it is adorable! I'd totally recommend it to anyone!
March 11, 2006 songs?? i was just wonering if anyone knew what the name of the theme song to napoleon was? you know "maybe our paths will meet someday... maybe somewhere, somehow" or whatever the words are?? i would really like to know the name so i can find the song because it makes me cry every time i listen to it. i have been looking for this song since i can remember so i would really appreciate anyones help :)
December 20, 2005 Napoleon This film was an average childrens'film starring animals. It is quite unusual thoough because of the storyline and the hilarious scene where a dog starts to drown and the other dog calls out something along the lines of: "Nyenci, Nyenci, please save Nyenci!" I would buy it for this reason alone so go on and watch Nyenci drown in a fit of laughter! You know you want to! CONSUME CONSUME CONSUME CONSUME etc.
May 22, 2005 Wretched, Sordid, & Deranged! Worst .. movie .. ever. CONS 1) Deranged parrot, singing to pup, encouraging pup to kill rabbits: "kill ... if you must survive you must kill.. thirst for rabbit blood"
2) Obvious that animals are placed in awkward or unpleasant situations to try to carry the movie's piss-poor plot / dialogue.
PROS 1) Cute Puppy 2) Pretty Scenary
