The Cheekiest, Reekiest Movie
All right, Busey, aka Golddigging machine- This movie was just a waste- Earning money is about the least I would expect from this hilarious film. I would give it only one comment- The best at trying to keep a straight face- You know, sucking your cheeks in to prevent everyone from begging amazon to make a zero star. Well, I'm sure you don't quite know how bad this movie is. And I never knew slipping on dog crap that has been sitting out on a hot summer day for an hour was so slippery. Honestly, it should have dried. Plus, it must, must, must be humiliating to have to die just because you wanted your enemy to live. I mean- yes, not manslaughter, but in a movie you always (well, the bad guys) TRY to get your victim. Am I right or right? Okay, its for kids. But if you want to go the long way, it's just make this movie more of an irresistable laugh.

Good movie if you like Pomeranians
A good movie if you like pomeranians.
So many movies nowadays are either all about the special effects (aka: weak storyline), nothing but low brow humor, or yet another twisted horror movie.
This movie is refreshing in the sense that it's none of the above.

Busey-licious
This is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen. Not only do you get to watch one of Hollywood's most psychotically coked-out actors since Crispin Glover humiliate himself on camera repeatedly out of genuine belief that he's making an actual "film", but you also get to see Curtis "Booger" Armstrong pretend that he's 30 years old as he commands an ensemble cast of washed up sitcom has-beens-that-never-really-were--like Martin Tupper's best friend from "Dream On" and Dauber from "Coach." Some of my favorite scenes include the now famous "Quirky Dog Catcher Carries The Skunk Across The Playground For No Apparent Reason," "Quirky Dog Catcher Opens His Van Full Of Dogs And Cow Noises Come Out For No Apparent Reason" and the part where Gary Busey grumbles "I'd rather clean a short person's teeth," also for no apparent reason.
As if that weren't enough, the audience is also treated to shot after agonizing shot of the camera's lens hood rotating in the frame while the actors' clothing spontaneously changes of its own accord. And dad will be happy that the mother character always wears a lot of skin-tight sweaters, presumably to show off the budget rate boøb job she saved up for in order to secure her star on the walk of fame.
But don't take that DVD out just because the movie's over. This pooch comes packed with bonus features! Every single person who appeared in the film gets their own 15 minute interview segment, no matter how inconsequential and forgettable their part might have been. You can practically smell the desperation steaming off of the guy who obviously spent a great deal of time coming up with his Quirky German Janitor character, and as always, Gary Busey just rambles on incoherently about what amazingly important and life-affirming work he's doing. There's also an extensive collection of bloopers and outtakes where one can enjoy watching Gary Busey accuse one of his castmates of being an android, and make a lot of uncomfortable sexual advances toward some poor woman who got duped into playing a nurse in this steaming pile of failure.
The only way this release could have possibly been better is if it had come bundled with a "Virtual Reality CD-ROM" that included a copy of the wonderful videogame the story seemed to center around. But I'm sure the producers decided against this since "Virtual Reality CD-ROMs" are so inherently fragile that they shatter into a million pieces when they are dropped onto a desk from a height of roughly 2 inches. Plus they wouldn't want to put Sony and Nintendo out of business with such compelling stone-skipping action. Japan's economy would surely crumble, and that's not a good family value.

Quigley...after school special, at best
From the very beginning, we were disappointed with this movie: filming, acting, story, etc....except the dog was cute and performed on cue. The story did not keep our daughter's attention, except when the dog was in a scene.

BUSEY GOES TO THE DOGS
Yes, the Pomeranian is cute, and yes the movie's moral message is a sound one. But do we really need another movie about someone returning to earth to make up for what they did before they died? And we've had them return in dogs before. But this movie is painfully bad in many ways: Gary Busey gives probably the worst performance of his checkered career; the plotline is so shallow, and the characters so cliche, it's sad; the physical pratfalls of the angel (Oz Perkins) and the two security guards are horribly staged; and Christopher Atkns' family is so perfect, it's laughable. They are supposed to be financially strapped but they have a big big house; an expensive SUV. While it is a film the family can watch together, I'm not sure there's enough going on to really keep the kids interested.

Adorable Pomeranian, so so movie
This movie is worth seeing just for the pomeranian (who happens to look a lot like my own pomeranian)...he's just adorable and gets lots of screen time. Other than that, kids might like this movie, but the acting and plot are mediocre at best.

Interesting Movie
The acting wasn't anywhere near fabulous, ok, it was horrible. Certain scenes drag on way too long. There seem to be many technical glitches, such as in one scene they zoom in on people sitting in the living room, and when they zoom out they're in the kitchen. In a car scene if you look at the windows all you see is white...
The only reason why I give this movie two stars is that it is very amusing to laugh at, and it has positive moral values.

I thought Quigley was a breath of fresh air....very funny without any sex, violence, or bad language. I plan to tell everyone I know about it. It was just wonderful!

Quigley
There were 2 reasons I rented this movie. The first being I like Gary Busey very much. The second is the sweet face on the Pomeranian. This was not a high budget nor a well made movie. But I'm glad I rented it. It has some very good messages for people of any age. And that is....be kind always. Give other people a chance. A second chance if they need it. Give of yourself whenever you can and always appreciate family. The interviews were very good but Gary Busey's was the best. He tells briefly of how certain occurrences in his life changed him, for the better. It's a good family movie.
