A rat that cooks???
I had reservations about Pixar's ability to pull this one off.
All of Pixar's movies have had non human stars in them.
I approached this film with an open mind and I came away absolutely stunned at how good it was.
Another Pixar triumph!!!
The acting, script, animation, EVERYTHING is just so perfect.
Is Pixar run by some alien force that just "KNOWS" how to make the perfect movie???
Pixar has yet to make one dud of a movie.
Well.........I really didn't care for Antz that much. But that was just my taste.
Am I the only one or did Ratatouille make you hungry for Italian food too???
Another masterpiece from the company that can do (almost) no wrong.

LOVE IT!
This DVD is truly a hit! You can watch it with the whole family or with your friends! Its entertainment for every age and everyone! The graphics are truly amazing and the characters are very well developed with voice actors that suit every character! This one cant be missed! A must buy!

A Great Family Movie!!
This is an excellent movie! I would recommend everyone to have this in their Disney DVD collection. There are so many funny parts in the movie. The animation was simply dazzling; every scene looks so real and detailed. As for the story line, you won't be disappointed. Ratatouille is one of the year's best movies for families. The animation is wonderful and the story is rich and interesting... This is one movie along with a couple others that my children ask to watch each day.

A delectable delight
Pixar does it again! With nods to its parent company (with his pencil-thin mustache, Skinner is both French and a little bit "Aladdin's"Jafar) and Tim Burton (Anton Ego has the macabre angles of a Burton animation), Pixar explodes the animation envelope with this family-friendly film. Where the characters are still "cartoons," the scenery looks like film -- although a small blurb in the credits state this is "REAL animation -- no rotoscoping!" Paris has never looked lovelier, and the FOOD -- the title dish made me hungry, and the last film that made my mouth water was "Big Night!" (Search for the recipe online using keywords "Thomas Keller" and "ratatouille.") The artwork is first-rate (wish I could make my hair as shiny and beautiful as Colette's!), and the script can be enjoyed by all ages, even though it never "talks down." (When was the last time you heard the word "elephantine" in a movie??) "Salut!" to the voice talents, too -- especially Janeane Garafalo and Peter O'Toole. This tasty 'toon is a dish to savor!

The finest movie to date in all of the animation genre
There are but a few movies that are made for children which grasp within them the childlike wonder, a hope for goodness to be rewarded and the joy when it happens, and showcase them to the audience.
There are even fewer among them that bring the latent child present somewhere in the hidden recesses of the adult person front and center, and be unashamed to be seen in all it's vulnerable glory.
Ratatouille, ladies and gentlemen is the rare gem that does it breezingly. The geniuses at Pixar achieve this impossible task with sublime panache, that too, with a creature that almost all of us revile: the sewer rat.
The premise of the story is simple. Remy, a rat living in Paris, prefers to raid kitchens instead of scrounging the gutters for food. He is also blessed with the talent for cooking exquisite meals. He find inspiration in the philosophy of late Chef Gusteau: a culinary legend: that "Anyone can cook". One night, while cooking at Chef Gusteau's restaurant, he is discovered by a Linguini, a cleaning boy, in a moment when his guard is down. Remy and Linguini, become a culinary duo with Remy guiding Linguini in creating delights for the refined palate and the restaurant soars to acclaim.
With such an unlikely artist, would the patrons advocate their habitat? This forms the premise of a inspiring story about breaking one's confines and stereotypes, and risking losing everything for what one truly believes in, that's delightfully woven by director Brad Bird and Pixar.
I was eagerly awaiting the release of this dvd and it is worth every penny of the 20 dollars that it is being sold for here. I applaud and bow to the talent and artistry of everyone involved in creating this reaffirming story and picturizing it.

3D Rats in 1080p glory!!
This movie - made by the same guy who created The Incredibles - truly raises bar for state-of-the-art computer generated animation feature. Never mind the story; yes a rat (later rats!) cooking in the kitchen is not that appetizing. But the character animations, combined with great voice acting, great rendering of Paris, makes this move a Disney classic. The quality of imagery is just outstanding!! Our two year old toddler son enjoys it so much, when he gets up in the morning he asks for "Rata! Rata!"
Highly recommended!

A FRENCH RATS TALE
The animation in this film is incredible, it's so vivid, especially in hi-def. The film's story is cute and uplifting, without being totally predictable. Remy is fine protagonist, he is likeable, albeit not exactly cuddly, but you root for him the entire way. I really didnt like the boy that play's his human friend, if you can call him that. I was surprised at how much I dislike him and even at the end, I was not pleased to see things had turned out well for him, odd for a movie of this kind. One odd thing, that really bothered me was how very few of these supposed "French" characters, bothered with actually having French accents. The hero is a French rat, with a sort of generic American accent, it seemed so bizarre. Overall, a very good movie with fantastic animation, not as good as the perfect, Incredible's, but close.

One of The Most Enjoyable Animated Movies I Have Ever Watched
I cannot say enough good things about this Movie. It left me with a smile on my face. Just a wonderful movie. Perfect for kids of all ages! I guess somes Rodents besides Mickey Mouse are very cute, as long as they are not living in your house!

Love this movie!
We have five boys, and we are always looking for movies that the whole family can enjoy. Our oldest is 14, we then have a 12, 9 and 4 year old, the baby can't enjoy a great movie yet, but in time I predict this will be a favorite.
There were some very sophisticated jokes in this film, but there was enough slapstick to keep our younger boys entertained. The story moved along with enough momentum to keep us all interested, but not so slow that the younger boys lose interest. My older boys got a kick out of the premise, but the idea that we can be whatever we desire was not lost on them either, and isn't that a fine lesson for anyone to learn/and or remember?
This was a great family movie, and I certainly think it lives up to Pixar's reputation, we are waiting with bated breath for Wall*E.
Check this movie out...you won't be disappointed.
