Lily Bunny practices counting by starting with herself as one and working her way through her Busytown neighborhood until she counts 10 hatching chicks at Farmer Fox's farm. But the stakes rise when Lily's parents suggest she go for 11 through 20. This takes the help of Huckleberry Cat and Lowly Worm, and some adventures involving balloons, grocery store trips, and the like. The numerals appear on the screen each time Lily counts, and she recaps in song after counting to 10 and then to 20, making it easy for young counters to follow along. Richard Scarry's classic animated characters provide a fun and educational 24 minutes for kids ages 2 to 5. --Kimberly Heinrichs

Enjoyable & Educational
I recently purchased the following videos: Best ABC Video, Best Counting Video, Best Learning Songs, Best Silly Stories & Songs, Best Busy People. These videos are all about 15-20 years old (release date) and I had my reservations as to whether my 3 year old would like them, as he is very stuck on his LeapFrog letter and words videos (which I also love). When I first viewed all of these, I realized that they are made with very simple animation, similar to when I was young. These videos are extremely charming and sweet. My son instantly loved them and has asked to view them repeatedly. It was nice to have a video with the actual alphabet song, as the LeapFrog letter factory does not have it. The counting video is also helpful in that it counts to 20 rather than 10 as other videos do. He enjoys the silly stories and laughs at all the videos. It is nice to know that kids can still enjoy classics such as these. I am very pleased with them. I also paid less than $1 or $2 for each of them (plus shipping). A bargain!

This thing is junk but my kid loves it
My 33 month old loves it - it's junk, the production quality is weak, and the "story" is lame but my kid loves it. I think it was a great value given how many times he's watched it.

entertaining and educational but very very dated
My daughter loves this and is barely two and starting to count after viewing this a few times. So it is great.... but it is so dated, grainy, and glaringly bright that it actually hurts my eyes in certain scenes. They should remake this. If the visual quality was better I would give it five stars.

Richard Scarry's Best Counting Video
We received this DVD for Christmas for my 2-1/2 year old daughter, and she absolutely loves it! She asks to watch it all the time, and she loves Huckle Cat. The characters are cute, and the songs are adorable. My daughter recognizes the numbers 1 through 10 with no problem now, and she is working on 11 through 20. We also got Richard Scarry's Best ABC Video (DVD), and I highly recommend that one too.

Boring!!
My 22 month old daughter found this video incredibly boring and actually cries for me to turn it off. She loves the leap frog videos, but hates this.

We love it
My 2 year old son learned how to count up to 20 in 2 weeks. He did it all by himself by just watching this video everyday. He counts everything around him and everywhere we go. My husband and I are very impressed with this video. Highly recommend.

Great for Toddlers
I have twin toddlers who love this video and are very quickly learning their numbers. The video is 25 minutes long - just long enough to hold their attention span. This is a fun way to teach your children their numbers.

Richard Scarry does it again!
My 2.5 yr old loves this video. My 18 month old isn't as into it as he is - but that's probably because of the developmental stage he is at versus her. They love Scarry's characters and he is completely captivated by the video. Highly recommend it for 2+ yrs.

Great video
Another great Richard Scarry video. This video teaches kids in a way that is interesting and fun for them...without being obnoxious for their parents! We love it.
