Fantastic learning tool
Schoolhouse rock was a fantastic learning tool when it was first created in the 70s and is just as popular with kids today as it was then!

Can you sing the Preamble?
That was what I asked on my first day of Constitutional Law. Our professor and many of my fellow classmates looked at me like I had three heads, but from certain corners you could hear a familiar humming and even a softly muttered "we the people, in order to for a more perfect union..."
That's the impact that Schoolhouse Rock had on those of us who were of "a certain age", and thanks to these DVD's, we can pass it on to another generation, as I am with my four year old daughter. She can't understand multiplication quite yet, but she's loved "My Hero Zero" for over a year, can say that a noun is a person, place or thing, and knows that Three is a Magic Number. Whether this will make a difference or not in school, who knows; but it can't hurt, she likes it, and maybe some day, when she's all grown up and working in a staid office job she will hear a co-worker talking on the phone to someone in another department named "Lolly" and shout out of the blue; "Ask her if she has any adverbs!"
And her co-workers will look at her like she has three heads, except for a select few who will start humming and softly sing "lolly lolly lolly, get your adverbs here"

All the Favorites
This product was exactly what I was looking for - all the School House Rocks! favorites for my kids. No real complaints, but things to point out to would-be purchasers: lots of Disney promotions that you can skip by going right to the menu. Also, a couple of songs were re-animated, not that my kids would know. (But the kid in me noticed, prefers the original animation from memory out of nostalgia ,and thinks the new animation is sub-par/hokey). Still satisfied with my purchase though.

Hot Item
I live overseas. I keep buying this for myself and then I'd give it to a family with young children as a means to assist them with learning English. It is a learning tool and entertaining as well. I like that it has a variety of American subcultures represented throughout the different presentations. I think I'll stock a few extra for gifts to my neighbors.

School House Rock Really Rocks!
I have used the School House Rock DVD with young children and with preservice early childhood teachers. Music is a powerful medium through which to acquire and retain information. What's great about this DVD is it has all of the songs created for all of the subject areas. Everyone loves it. The children are captivated by the songs and images. The teachers love recalling how much they enjoyed watching the videos when they were growing up and they can remember the songs as if they heard them just yesterday. Parents can use this DVD at home and teachers can use it to supplement their instruction.

School House Rock Rocks!!!
I purchased this product because a co-worker had brought it to work and it brought back old memories as a child getting up on Saturday morning. There were some new episodes that were cool and some that I had forgotten about. I was able to skip the Disney promo, select which episodes I wanted to play and select to view all. There were some episodes that had that grainy/old appearance but most were clear. I am glad that they brough this out.

Very educational yet interesting songs
Good to have subtitles for all the songs, but it would be best if lyrics of all the songs come with the DVD.

Love it!
Me and my mom just love School House Rock. It just brought back so many great memories for her. I think this is a great dvd to help younger children learn about history, math,language,science, and money.

BRINGS BACK SO MANY MEMORIES
I can remember waking up saturday mornings and turning on the tv to watch cartoons and such and between them schoolhouse rock would be on. Some of the songs were more catchier than others but still were great fun and a neat way to learn. Whether it was "conjunction junction" or "im just a bill" they made you think along with singing along. Great for young kids to learn about so many different things. for adults its a walk down memory lane. back to when things were simple and fun.
