User Submitted The Magic School Bus - Human Body Reviews

Mine and my Son's review on the movie
For my part, I truly enjoyed re-watching it. I thought it was entertaining and informative. As a child I loved the episodes and had in fact watched a couple of the ones on this disc, which helped me decide to purchase it. Also I liked it enough that I was willing to submit to hours, days, months of re-watching this episode since my four year old loves the magic school bus and watches them over and over again.

On my son's behalf, he enjoyed it and did watch it a few time (I lost count) but I noticed that he didn't enjoy this video as much as some of the others. In some of the other magic school bus DVD's he became completely involved in the action (laughing out loud or sitting on the edge of his seat), but in this one he wasn't as involved and am hoping it will respark his interest when he get a little older.

This one is my favorite
This MSB set is my favorite. I love learning about the human body and they did it in an easy to remember way.
If you are considering buying this,do it. It is completly worth it, and it is fun to watch.

magic education kids love
My son is 4 and loves the Magic School Bus. The Film is a lot of fun for him but at the same time he is learning a lot. It is really impressive how they do it and I already ordered the next Magic School Bus episode.

Great show that I used to watch... and my daughter loves!
This is a very fun and different way to learn. Since it's a cartoon, kids love it.

Another winner
My kids both LOVE the Magic School Bus videos. My son watched one in Kindergarten and raved about it so much that we bought them all--and we've never been disappointed. We have all learned fun, new facts. The kids watch them again and again. MSB really makes digestion come alive!

Bones, Muscles and Joints--As Well As the Digestive & Circulatory Systems
I homeschool (unschool) my son, and the Magic School Bus series is GREAT for teaching kids science. We have 4 DVD sets and a few VHS's.

If you're unfamiliar with the premise, the central characters are Ms. Frizzle (a teacher), her class, Liz the lizard and the Bus. Ms. Frizzle takes her class on crazy field trips, where Bus--and sometimes the kids!--experience a transformation so they can get closer to the action. (For example, become a bee or turning into water droplets.)

One of our most recent purchases was The Human Body and it's excellent as always. These three episodes cover various aspects of the human body:

*For Lunch - The digestive system
*Inside Ralphie - The circulatory system
*Flexes Its Muscles - Bones, Muscles and Joints

There is also a peek inside Map of the Human Body for kids to explore.

This CD runs about 80 minutes and is supposedly geared towards children 3-8. Personally, I think the age-appropriate range is more like 6-10 because of the complex concepts introduced.

However, if younger kids enjoy it--more power to them! It certainly can't hurt to introduce science to younger kids if the Magic School Bus holds their interest.

My 8-year old son really enjoys the series now (he didn't get into it when he was younger), so I use the Magic School Bus series to supplement our learning/experimenting with science principles. And, my son seems to love The Human Body; in fact, he's watching it right now!

all the rage, but I have no idea ...
I don't know what all the excitement about the Magic School Bus is but I bought it regardless, because of the positive reviews. I put the DVD to play, but then noticed that it was beyond, above my daughter's level, and decided to play it for her at a later age. She was 34 months old, but I believe I should wait until she is about 4? I'll see...
It looks good, but still not sure what the rage is about. My ratings is based on what others have said.

Another great work from the Magic School Bus series
My kids, aged 6 and 4, love this series. This is another DVD that they enjoy. They definitely learn as they watch which is an added bonus.
