Frustrating day - Vent!!

The day started off bad. Ive been having a hard time waking up in the morning. I woke up at 5 and needed to be up at 7. Tried to stay up but fell asleep and overslept until 9.

Had a job today, and my girlfreind is GONE on business, so I had to take ALL the kids with me to drop off the others. Henry drove himself and dropped his two off at daycare, but I had to drop off Kel and Vince at kindergarden, then drop Tracy, Nicky, and Carter and Clara all off at daycare. Of course, Tracy decided to scream for an hour.

Got to my job. I'm painting a mural in a nursery for a couple expecting twins in December. It's kind of an ocean theme on one wall and a forrest theme on the other, complete with animals and cute stuff. It's hard to describe.

Got there, got started, realized I bought the wrong color of paint. Had to drive to the store and get the right kind .

Got back, worked, and these people hassled me about everything. They don't mean to, they're real nice, they just had a billion questions.

About 1:40 I got a call from Henry. He's bipolar and gets all upset. I went and got him. Calmed him down, he went back to school.

About 3:40 I got a call from the Kindergarden teacher wondering where the hell I was and why I hadn't picked up teh twins. I was not SUPPOSED to pick up the twins. The lady from daycare was. I had to CALL her. She couldn't go get him at that time. Had to get Henry (who's busy with his daughter and new kid) to go get him. He went ahead and picked up all the kids at that time.

Worked uninteruppted until 6:45 when I realized I had a family (!!!) and rushed home. Picked up Chicken (which usually is good) for dinner. Of course, Tracy didint' want chicken. She wanted "yemon yayed" (lemonade) and that was it. We have no lemon aid. She threw a fit until I finally just put her to bed.

Now Peter is screaming his head off and we dont' know why!! My son Henry is going bonkers because his daughter, Andriana, has decided she has great empathy for her brother and should be crying too! Her mother, my son's boyfreind, is not here at the moment (a fight, she's left until it clears up because Hen won't fight in front of the kiddos).

GRR! Sorry so long, but do you just ever have those days! Nothing goes right? I went though the diaper bags a few minutes ago and realized I sent Tracy's diapers with Nicky (she wears pullups! wtf was i thinking!? ) and Nicky's diapers with carter and clara today. GEEZ! I'm really batting out today!

I didn't know that you were a painter, how cool! Do you do a lot of murals and that sort of thing? I'd love to see a picture of the nursery when you are done.

heavenly_1970 replied: Well, Ive had days like that but not with that many lil ones...I must say I have tons of respect for you b/c a lot of dads (including my DH) would NEVER do all that you do for your family!
Take a deep breath....and have a drink... I personally think that dads like you should be CELEBRATED!

My2Beauties replied: Oh man, sorry to laugh but I am just thinking of the day I had the other day, they sound a bit similar. I hate those days when nothing goes right. You always have us to vent too! I hope you have a better day tomorrow and keep smiling!!!!

Today was much better thank gosh!

I'm sorry your day was so terrible! That sounds crazily (lol) intense!! HUGE brownie points to you, for being such an awesome dad! Geez, I wish Keith things like that. And we only have ONE! Yr a great person lovey dad!

I hope the rest of your week is A LOT better, and that family things get cleared up soon!

Thank you! You guys are sweet. I went through a long time where I was the only parent, so I got to be the responsible dad I am.

I don't know if I have told you this before, but you sound to meas you are the most amazing dad!! Your kids are lucky to have you xx
