Each card has unique features: number (1, 2, or 3); symbol (diamond, squiggle, or oval); shading (solid, striped, or open); and color (red, green or purple). The dealer arranges 12 of the cards, face up, and the players simultaneously scrutinize the images for "sets" of three cards that are either all alike in some way or different in every way.
