4 months & up. Good oral hygiene begins at birth! Pediatric dentists recommend cleaning an infants gums - even before the first tooth appears - with a soft infant toothbrush and water. Properly cleaning teeth and gums helps remove sugars and bacteria that can lead to future decay.
User Submitted Baby Buddy: Baby's 1st Toothbrush - Asst Colors Reviews November 12, 2008 Love this toothbrush! I bought this for my 9 month olddaughter on the way to the airport, along with some other small toys. She loved it! She sat on a 3 1/2 hour flight without a single complaint. The other toys didn't even have to come out. She still loves it, but the first time she had it, it was amazing. It's a great teether. The only problem is it gets lost easily since its clear and small. So, buy a few.
September 16, 2008 Bizarre but Wonderful... I Think This thing is strange-looking, and I can't tell if it's doing anything beneficial for my baby's teeth... but I'm amazed at how well my daughter took to it! During our nighttime routine, I hand her the toothbrush for her to "brush" while I read her a story, and she does so cheerfully. It's almost as though she knows how to use it, with all the bristles touching her teeth and gums. Funny.
August 20, 2008 Great toothbrush.. This is a great toothbrush and worked wonderful during teething. My son sits and brushes/gums his teeth while we read bedtime stories. He loves chewing on it and the soft silicon seems very soothing for his gums. He has had no problems using it and now reaches for it at bedtime. I love this product!
August 13, 2008 Hard to use The "brush" part is shaped like an "h" so that if you were to fit in in the babies mouth around their teeth it would fit something like a mouth gaurd and then you'd have to slide it over the teeth back and forth for the brushes to hit the surfaces. I would think it would be much more usefull if the end with the bristles was flat with bristls on both sides. We had an easier time with a toddler brush than with this thing.
July 28, 2008 Great infant brush This is an awesome infant brush and can be used at a very young age and does not allow them to try and stick it down there throats like some of the others out there. Other than the expense (I run a non-profit dental clinic where we have to but the products we give out so we only can get a few of these) I would highly reccomend them, they are a very good product.
July 25, 2008 Life saver I just bought this for my 4 month old. She has been teething, I believe, and has been trying to put everything in her mouth lately. I have been using this more as a teether than just a toothbrush because she loves the feel of it on her gums. It is also small and light enough for her to maneuver into her mouth herself.
June 3, 2008 great product My 6 month old daughter is just getting 1st tooth and teething like crazy..I got this toothbrush for her and she loves it..It really seems to give her sore gums relief..She hasn't put it down since I got it! Great purchase and inexpensive!
April 24, 2008 My 8 month old loves this My son loves chewing on this. When he is suffering from teething I rub a little orajel on it and it works great at reducing his pain.
April 15, 2008 Baby Buddy: Baby's 1st Toothbrush My 11 month-old daughter likes to chew on this toothbrush for a short amount of time, then she is off to something else. It works great to let her chew on it while changing her diaper just before bed!
November 28, 2007 Absolutely the best I love this toothbrush ... probably as much as my 9 mos old son - when I gave it to him the first time he took it, popped it in his mouth and "uhmmmm"-ed, translation "goooood!" He chewed on it for the entire 8 minutes it took me to finish up his post-bath bed-time routine ! Moving it back and forth over his itchy gums was heaven for him as he has 5 little teeth in front and 1 trying to bud out, it's been tough on my finger with the fingerbrush - I highly recommend this product, it's soft, flexible, and I know he's getting more cleaning action with this than when I use the fingerbrush - especially trying not to get chomped - (now if only there was a something to save me during breastfeeding !!)
