Great gate for the money
We now have two of these gates and they're great. My son pushes and practially hangs on them and we have yet to even see one budge. They are wonderful for wide doorways where you don't want to have to install something permanent. We put them up/take them down at least a couple of times a day, and it only takes a matter of seconds. The width is also easy to adjust if you need to move them to a different space. I would highly recommend this gate to anyone.

baby gate
Purchased as a pet gate for a new puppy. Works great. Keeps the puppy in the kitchen on the tile floor while we are housebreaking her. No messes in the "hard to clean" areas of the house.

Nice Gate !
We bought the Evenflo Soft And Wide Gate so we can bring it with us when we go out. It's a flexible, lightweight gate that snaps into place across a wide range of places we want to keep the kids out of. Worth the purchase for sure.

Easy to install
While this gate was too wide to use where I had originally intended, it is now working out wonderfully in it's new location. It is so easy to install and withstands a lot of force (and it's so cute to see our daughter smoosh her face against the mesh). I like the fact that you can install it in an uneven doorway because the top and bottom are adjusted independently of each other. I would recommend this gate to anyone who doesn't want to install any kind of hardware and needs versatility.

Great for large entryways and kitchens!
I purchased 2 of these to block off my kitchen area. One side of my kitchen has a small recessed area under my cabinets so traditional wooden baby gates wouldn't work. When the 2 knobs at the top where locked in place, the bottom half of the gate would still swing back and forth because they had nothing to grip to. With this one, I can adjust the top and bottom to different widths.
Also, with other baby gates, my kids could scale them by sticking their toes in the holes on the plastic mesh. With these, they are a tightly knit mesh so there are no holes to stick their toes in! The mesh is also easy to remove for washing.
Another plus is that with the wooden gates, you may not be able to put the little indicator bar in the correct spot to adjust your pressue. This would sometimes cause it to be too tight and cracked one of my door frames. To me, the wooden gates had too many sharp and hard areas to be truly "safe."
I can't say enough good things about these gates! They have been a lifesaver (and sanity saver!) for us! I have 3 kids, ages 2-7 and have spent a LOT of money on baby gates. This is the only one that holds up to them and is well worth what I paid.

a little awkward
This is a great gate for length and ease of "installation" (it is pressure mounted), however, with all the twisting to adjust the sides to the suitable length, I never could get them just right so my gate has a little sway to it when it is not in place. I store mine behind a door but it won't lay quite flat. This is not a problem with function, probably more like user-error.

Works as advertised
We bought this gate to keep our baby from crawling up the stairs at a vacation house. It was easy to use after adjusting it to the right width. It takes a long time to adjust the width, so it's not easily movable between locations on a day to day basis but it worked great for our purposes. A little tricky for the older children to step over but no problem for adults.
I think we'll enjoy having this put away to use when we have small guests in the future.
If Evenflo made a similar product for smaller openings, I would buy that as well. Perhaps they do, but I was not able to find such a thing on Amazon.

We use this gate for our two small dogs. It works great and is easy to move if you want to move the animals to a different room.

Finally The Right Size Gate!
I have looked everywhere for an attractive gate that would fit the large entrances to the rooms of my home and I was never able to find one until I saw this great creation. It is light and durable and the size of the gate can be adjusted very easily. I have two puppies that I need to keep confined to certain areas of my home and I did not want to damage my walls with the permanent gates and I do not care for the wood frame gates with the plastic mesh, they are weak and they are never big enough. I love this gate so much that I bought three of them. A great gate, easy to put together, high quality and such a cheap price. Thankgoodness!!!

wonderful
This product is wonderful, it looks nice with my decor because it is so neutral, and does the job of keeping my son out of our formal dining room. Its nice to have just one room of the house saved for adults and the finer things.
