User Submitted LeapFrog Baby Lilypad Vibrating Teether Reviews November 18, 2008 Terrible Product! My child could barely get it to vibrate, you had to push so hard. Also the green part is very heavy and gave bumps on the head to everyone in the family- in a day. I threw this toy away!
October 18, 2008 broke within 1 day Was given to my son as a gift, and it broke while we were still with the gift-giver. How embarrassing for them! Don't bother. Seems like this is the same story with the other reviews too. I expect more from leapfrog.
October 5, 2008 cute The vibrating part was a surprise. Baby received this as a gift without packaging. We froze it and discovered the vibrating aspect of it as it thawed. It only vibrates if a lot of pressure is applied; not even I can make it vibrate without nearly breaking through the plastic. It's okay for bigger babies teething, but is heavy and too big for smaller babies.
September 24, 2008 Don't buy this! So I had to call the LeapFrog Customer care cuz when I opened the toy i couldn't get it to vibrate. They told me you had to bend it hard towards the leaf to make it work and it did. However unless your baby has superman strength they can't make it vibrate while chewing on it. I myself had to bite it as hard as I could to make it vibrate. And I'm assuming I have more strength than my baby. So yeah it looks cute but doesn't work at all!! Horrible!
September 3, 2008 Not a good product. It arrived dirty with fingerprints all over the teething ring. The idea of the vibration is good, but it didn't last more than a few minutes! It's hard for a baby to bite and bend it, cause this is how the vibration is supposed to work. I HAD to wash it(being very careful to avoid the green part) and it stopped working completely. Not recommended to anyone!!!
July 19, 2008 Wish I could give 0 stars This teether came as part of a set purchased from Amazon and it never worked. The design of the teether would make for a great product if it worked. The teether is made of a nice durable material, there are multicolored beads inside, each ring has a raised imprint of either a star, frog, crab etc... The idea of a vibrating teether sounds like it would be comforting for a teething infant but it must actually vibrate. Sorry LeapFrog someone dropped the ball on this one.
May 15, 2008 Once vibration quits, you have to throw away. Vibration is difficult to activate. I have to squeeze the side my 7-month old doesn't have in her mouth in order to cause it to vibrate. She cannot bite hard enough to cause it to vibrate on her own (she has bottom 2 teeth and one eye-tooth). Plus, there is no way to put batteries in it- so once the vibration no longer works, it will just be a normal teething ring.
May 9, 2008 Doesn't vibrate for baby, but he loves it anyway The title pretty much says it all. The vibration requires too much pressure for our baby boy to activate, but he loves the teether anyway.
May 3, 2008 Too difficult for a baby At first I thought this was broken, but then found you had to squeeze it extremely hard, harder than a baby could ever do... and then it did stop working.
April 18, 2008 Wish I didn't waste my money This is a cute idea-however mine would hardly vibrate unless you squeezed it very hard, much harder than a baby could. And by the time we had it a week it stopped working all together. I can't find a place on it to replace the batteries-and Amazon won't take it back unless it is in the original packaging. Save yourself some money and buy something else.
