Ok, but not what I expected.
This toybox does hold a LOT of toys, and is fully ready to use when it arrives at your house. However, i ASSUMED the lid was hinged. Its not. My one year old can't get into his toys. I have to leave the lid off because it will hit his head or smash his fingers if I leave it on. The lid just sort of sets on top of the box. I probably wouldn't have bought this had I looked at it in person. The colors do match his room perfectly. He is still to short to reach anything unless it is on the top.

Great toybox!
I love this thing. We bought this for my daughter shortly after she was born. A year and a half later, it's still in perfect condition. It holds much more than I thought it would, and I love the drawers at the bottom for smaller items such as blocks, figurines, and other items that would get totally lost in the big part.
No assembly is a definite plus in my book. Sure, the lid isn't attached and doesn't lock into place, but this prevents your child from getting themselves stuck in there, pinching their fingers in a joint, or whatever else. Also, like another reviewer said, you can just remove the lid altogether. it's also true that the drawers just slide on the floor underneath the main part, but that isn't an issue for us because we have carpet. Also, when she was younger it was great because we would just take the drawer with the small toys into the other room with us and it held plenty to keep her entertained, while the main toy box stayed where it was.
The material is sturdy and wipes clean easily, unlike wood which is heavy, dents easily, and doesn't clean as easily. I absolutely love this toy box and I would buy it again.

Cheaply made
I was expecting a better quality toy box. I was unhappy when we found out the top lid does not fit in. What I mean is that if you have too many toys in the chest, the top will fall off, because it does not lock in anywhere. We thought the bottom 2 drawers rolled out, but they do not. If you have hard wood floors (as we do), the drawers will scratch floor. It is spacious, but thats the only thing going for this toy box flop.

Great toy box!
This is a huge toy box and has tons of space for our son's toys. It's the best toy box for a good price I could find. I would definitely recommend it!

Great Toy Box!
No toy box is going to hold all my two year old's toys but this one comes close. Also matches his bedroom (yellow and blue) perfectly. You take it out of the box and put it where you want it-- no assembly. It is plastic so crayon and the like wipe right off. I highly recommend it!

Remove the lid
I bought this for my one year old, and really love it. I did remove the lid, as it will fall onto your childs head if he/she does not open it all the way! It is not a heavy lid (plastic), but for a 20 lb. child it's heavy. I took the lid off and placed it in storage.

This is the BEST toybox!
I'm a new mother, so I went a little crazy this past Christmas and bought my son A LOT of toys. But I didn't think of getting him a toy box. Duh! Well I picked this one up and I love it. Much better than most of the wooden ones out there that are often too small and are ruined easily by small children. It is a good size. It doesn't look big or overwhelming but it holds a ton of stuff. And it has two extra trays that slide under the bottom that are great for little toy cars and balls. Also, another GREAT thing is that it is very sturdy. My 10 month old is pulling himself up on every piece of furniture he can find, and his new toybox is no exception. But the box withstands his weight, even when empty, and my son is weighs 28 pounds. I love this toybox and would recommend it to anyone.

Mom of 2
This is a roomy and durable toy box. It comes all put together which is wonderful! It has lots of room with two extra bins. I recommend this to any one with young children.
