User Submitted Maclaren Triumph Stroller Charcoal Reviews October 15, 2008 love it I was looking for a stroller that was compact, light, easy to maneuver, its basket was easy to access & that it could also recline. I got it all with this stroller. The only complaints that I have, which are small complaints, are that there's no parent cup holder, the recline feature doesn't lay flat & it's "one hand fold" is a little tricky. Glad I spent the $$!
October 8, 2008 Like that it's light weight I like this stroller because it's very light weight without being too flimsy. Three things you don't get with it are; seat does not recline, the basket under the seat is small, and the sunshade doesn't provide any shade at all. The first two I can live without because after all it is a light weight stroller, can't really expect too much, but the sunshade is a little annoying. It's there but it doesn't even do anything so why even have it. When I travel it is my favorite stroller to take.
September 7, 2008 This stroller puts bulky travel systems to shame! I think that this stroller is fabulous! I really did my research before buying it and hands-down, it had the best reviews. I agree with them wholeheartedly! This stroller is light, has a carry strap making it possible for me to carry my 22 pound son and the stroller [using the shoulder strap] up three flights of stairs without passing out. Also, it umbrella folds, which allows me to fit it in my VW beetle. Another plus, it's tall enough that my 6' partner can push it without aggravating his lower back problems. (Many strollers have short handles requiring you to bend forward.) It reclines, so it's suitable for babies as small as 3 months. It comes with it's own rain cover, which saves you from having to fork out $20. Since it's very streamlined, the only thing it may lack is storage space. I use it with a SkipHop saddle bag, which is more than enough room. Instead of buying a bulky Graco or Chicco and then an umbrella stroller, save yourself money and just buy this one buggy. It strolls like a dream and looks good in the process. I LOVE THIS STROLLER!
August 31, 2008 Great Lightweight Stroller We've only had this stroller for a month, and it's wonderful. It takes up very little space in the trunk and it is so small that it's easy to navigate stores. We bought this one instead of the Volo for the recline option. Wish we had bought it sooner!
August 23, 2008 Great travel/mall stroller. I bought this stroller for a trip to Seattle, and I will use it for all of my traveling! It collapsed well (though it took two hands), and it was easy to "pop open" with one hand after the flight. (I did remove the canopy and the basket for gate-checking, but these items fit easily in my checked bag so I'd have them at my destination.) The stroller stowed well in the trunk of the car and is lightweight, but very sturdy for an umbrella-type stroller.
August 4, 2008 Terrible CUSTOMER SERVICE with Maclaren .. unreliable parts on Triumph stroller We got this stroller for a gift and from day 1 the sun visor always popped off the bar on the left. Very frustrating. I called customer service at Maclaren and they were aweful. The part that attached the sun visor to the main tube is DEFECTIVE and will not snap on and stay on. Visors are very important with kids.
The customer service agent told me I need to ship it to them in NY and then Pay for the replacement in full?? Even if it is defective??? My first product with this company and what a let down..... What ever happened to customer service these days and standing behind your product?
July 30, 2008 MacLaren... a Triumph! We bought this stroller to replace a cheaper umbrella stroller that we had been using. Now we use the triumph as our everyday stroller! It is so light and turns so easily. And, it has a lot of great space to fill with all of our little guy's stuff.
July 24, 2008 The BEST lightweight stroller I searched and searched for the perfect lightweight stroller, and found this one. I finally decided to swallow the expense and buy it, which I DO NOT regret. Every single one of it's features lives up to the description.
July 13, 2008 awesome product This is the best stroller ever. I originally bought the Jeep umbrella stroller, but my daughter at the time was 9 months old and barely fit in it. I finally splurged and bought this one after much research. It was hard to spend this kind of money on an umbrella stroller, but I love it. It reclines enough for her to fall asleep comfortably, and she fits perfect in it with much room to grow. It took me about 2 or 3 times to easily fold it, but now it is a sinch and easy to do while holding my daughter (now 16 months). It is very lightweight and it's great to have the attached strap to carry it. The handles are comfortable and the wheels manuever great.
June 16, 2008 Stroller is no match for the heat of the southwest Bought this stroller and used it once before the sun and heat melted and warped the shade canopy while it was in the back of my Subaru. We had to return it but here's what I liked and didn't like about it: Pros: 1. Super lightweight 2. Easy to collapse 3. Easy to steer Cons: 1. Tiny basket 2. Only does well on paved surfaces. There's a lot of uneven surfaces and gravel in the southwest and the tires get stuck. 3. Shade canopy is insufficient. Only covers a portion of my child's face and not much of his body. 4. When collapsed, the tires fold into the canopy making the canopy dirty very quickly. I think this stroller might work well in a metro area like NYC or for use around the mall or for planes/airports.
