Skwish Classic
this is a GREAT toy, it keeps my almost 8 months old daughter's attention, she loves the fact she can hold it anywhere, and it makes noise. It's also very durable, we have placed it in the tub(not knowing, of course) and it held up perfectly. None of the parts became lose. Which is so important when dealing with wooden toys, no splinters.

A fun and educational toy for sure.

Love this toy
I was amazed at how much my 5 month old loved this toy. It instantly became his favorite pick and he still enjoys it 3 months later. I even find myself picking it up and skwishing/stretching it around. However, be careful that nothing heavy is stored on top of it. Ours is a bit lopsided from a heavy book laying on it but seems to be getting back to shape.

So-so
I bought this toy for our then 2 month old boy - as long as I held it in front of him, he was interested. However, at 4 months now, poorly coordinated as he is, he manages to whack himself in the face as he is trying to fit the toy in his mouth - leaving him frustrated. Going to the bottom of the toy box - perhaps awaiting better times?

Super Squish
We got this toy for our then 3 month old son. It is bright and colourful and easy for him hold, shake and chew on. It is easily his favourite toy.
I find oit durable, educational and versatile.
Perfect present for a baby shower or a young baby.

Looks pretty but does not provide much play and fun for my baby
This is a nicely done and durable toy that provides little opportunity and creativity for play and does not interest my baby at all. The only thing it does, is bending according to the strings and bouncing back into its original shape. I bought it for my baby when she was six months old and now, two months later, she has maybe played a total of 2 hours with it. Save your money and invest it in something more useful, e.g. wooden building blocks.

Good Toy.
This does have some entertainment value, but it isn't holding my baby's attention for long, but then at 10 months nothing much does! He likes to sit shaking it to hear the chiming sound and then will put it down after a minute or so to play with something else. He does go back to it though often during play and the gentle sound does make him giggle! It is a toy that I will be taking with me on a plane trip as the sound level is minimal and so shouldn't upset the other passengers during the day. Probably not a good choice for a nighttime flight though. It seems to be well made but only time will tell, like most things it has already spent some time in his mouth and his 6 teeth have yet to really have an impact.
Apart from the colours I really can't see that it has much educational value but at 10 months that doesn't matter as much as entertainment. A good toy for the money.

Spend your money some where else.
I bought this toy for my son at 5 months (now 9 months), and he never really played with it. He was thrilled for about a minute, and then put it down and has not played with it again. I have also given this toy to other babies visting us and they have done the same thing. I bought it because I saw it in the Montessori catalog, and thought it would really help him learn shapes, textures, etc., but I am disappointed, and would not recommend buying this toy. It is a waste of your money.

Beware Poor Quality
I am really, really disappointed and unhappy - with this toy and with Amazon. I ordered this toy about 7 weeks ago and received it 6 weeks ago. My now 6-month old son has played with it - gently, I might add. And it broke this morning ... "snap!" went one of the flexible black bands, without any warning at all. The toy is broken and part of the educational appeal - the "skwishiness" - is gone.

Add to that the fact that Amazon will not in any way refund or exchange the product because it's just beyond the 30-day mark, and I'm one unhappy shopper.

The worst part is that this was our whole family's favorite toy, so we are of course compelled to buy another.

Recommended Age May be Off
I purchased this product for my baby based on the great reviews. The product is beautiful but it doesn't do much (you can pull the strings or have the balls roll from one side of the bar to the other). I gave this toy to my son at around 10 months and it never really interested him. The recommended age for this toy is 12 months and above. It seems from other the reviews that 4 months seems to be a good age for this toy. Maybe the recommended age is off?

teether, rattle and motion toy
I got the coloburst(pastel)for my now 2 1/2 year-old daughter when she was only a few months old. Since she had chewed on it, I wanted to get a new one when I found out I was expecting a boy. We got the classic(bright colos) before he was born. He was able to grasp at it in only a month or two, due to its narrow rods, strecthy bands and light weight. My daughter still plays with it. The moving parts, ease of holding and ablity to compress make it a great toy to learn how and why things work and teach color recognition. My 2 1/2yr old has not tired playing with it and I see it being around for some time to come.
