The Camden Rose teether was designed to stimulate sight and touch with beautiful organic shapes and the comfort of hardwood. Easy to grasp for little fingers and soothing to rub on tender gums, the Maple Teether is best for the baby who, at about 3 months, starts to explore the object-mouth relationship. Each teether is fashioned from maple wood and finished with non-toxic beeswax.
User Submitted Waldorf Maple Teether Natural Teething Ring Reviews September 22, 2008 Couldn't be happier We bought this teether for our 4 month old son and it's the only teether we've bought(out of 4) that really can fit in his mouth. It seems to soothe the irritation and calm him down for awhile.
July 25, 2008 too tiny for a teether I bought this teething ring a week ago and i could not beleive how tiny it was. I was chocked! my baby girl is 6 month old and starts teething i though this ring was a good idea. But she cannot even hold it with her both hands because it's too small. If you want to buy it, be prepared it doesn't look nothing like on the picture, the size is 2 inches interior diameter, the color is much lighter almost white, the shape is nothing but simple. It is not shiny as the picture shows.Overall it was a desapointement. the only good thing is it's natural and light. I posted a picture of the ring in my daugter's hand.
May 12, 2008 paint and plastic free teether I bought this teether along with the cheery maple rattle and my 6-month-old prefers this one. It's a great size and he loooves teething on it. I give it to him while he's on the changing table and it makes him stop squirming as much. I bought it because it was a natural teether and was worried he wouldn't be interested in it because it wasn't flashy, but he likes it a lot. Oddly, he doesn't care for the rattle yet.
April 21, 2008 As long as it's not Made in China Though somewhat pricey for this actual item, the peace of mind knowing that our 5 month-old is not ingesting lead or plastic compounds is well worth it. And, it's always good to buy and support our home-grown craftspeople.
March 3, 2008 Waldorf Maple Teether - Natural Teething Ring Love it, my baby loves to have the wooden teether around where ever we go!!! It's safe and works well.
February 6, 2008 Great SAFE Teether This Teether is a great!. My daughter loves it. It is small enough to fit in her little hands and the most important thing for me is that it is not made out of plastic. She can chew on it all she wants and I don't have to worry that she is filling herself full of toxic chemicals. Great for any infant, not just those that are teething. Well worth the price.
January 14, 2008 Just not for my little one it seemed like a great idea to give all natural, safe teether to my son; however, due to its shape, he couldn't really put it in the place where he wanted and ended up liking flat plastic teether better...I also felt it was little too pricy for something so simple.
December 30, 2007 Fantastic Toy My seven month old loves this ring. It is her favorite teething toy and I can rest assured that it is safe and non-toxic. I only wish I had five more.
December 16, 2007 Best teether ring there is! This is the best teether ring there is! The baby just loves to chew on it - he took to it immediately when I handed it to him (kinda grabbed it ...)! He also loves to play with it and looks at it in endless fascination. Who would have thought that a simple wodden ring can keep a little baby entertained? I like it mostly because it is made out of wood, not plastic. Highly recommended!
December 15, 2007 Awesome teether I liked this product so much, I am back to buy 3 more of them as gifts for the holidays. You get two teething rings for the price, we keep one upstairs and the other downstairs.
When we first got it, my wife was a bit taken aback by it being wood (it seemed too hard to her), but now that we have had it for a few months she has made a 180 degree about face and loves it. Our daughter loves it as well, it's by far her favorite toy to sooth her gums with.
For me it was important to find a product that was natural and free of toxins. In the EU they have banned teethers that contain PVC, here in the US it is still legal.
The product has a very light finish, almost nothing on it which was rinsed off when we first washed it. The wood itself is quite soft and does not splinter or anything like that. The shape of the teether is nice as well, lots of different options for the baby. It is also the perfect size for babies 3 to 4 months when the first start to clutch and bring things to their mouth, most teethers are a little bigger but this is great for small hands and mouths.
Highly recommend it, and the shipping was extremely fast as well.
